I'm 35+6 and since 28 weeks I've been fainting or almost fainting about once a week. I had low iron before pregnancy and I've been taking the tablets 3 x a day the last 8 months, I have a really low platelet count so have been having blood tests every fortnight and recently my irons been normal and blood pressure the "low side of normal".

I'm finding that if i stand still for more than 10 minutes I feel it coming over me, its happened when I'm out shopping alone which is quite scary!! Been to mau the times its happened when ive been out and baby's been fine but I feel like I cant do anything without having to sit down/put my head between my knees!!

It happened this morning at the bus stop and I just got a taxi to work, I felt it coming over me but didnt pass out, just sat with my head between my knees, luckily there was a woman there so she stayed with me til the taxi arrived. I've got to work today as it's my last day before Mat leave, i need the money and can't make up the hrs elsewhere this week as my leave starts tomorrow!! I feel ok but worried about it happening again, does anyone else experience this or have any suggestions how to prevent it happening?

It has happened to me a few times one time was when I was standing brushing my daughters hair. Another was in the shops. I find if I rush around in the morning it's a lot worse but if I take my time and have some food I'm a lot better! My iron has been low too and didn't want to come back up so I had an infusion a few days back and I'm 37 weeks now
