Hey Smile

My husband and I found out that I was pregnant at around 5/6 weeks. From then I've literally been living in bed or on the sofa. Sleeping on average 12/15 hrs a day. As soon as I close my eyes, I'm gone Blush. I have no energy. A bit of an appetite but can't keep much down. Morning sickness all day. I'm now in my 9th week.

Is this normal?? Confused I was told it could be twins? Shock

3 months weary, 3 months cheery, 3 months dreary.

Yes, the tiredness is normal (but do make sure you're taking all your pregnancy vitamins, Iron, etc). It all gets better soon. Ask your midwife about the nausea, though, as that sounds pretty extreme.

Sounds utterly normal. It's exhausting Grin

Eat beige food and try and sleep as much as possible. You'll be worn out just walking to the kitchen and back.

Yeah totally normal. You can get medication for the sickness though, ask your GP.

This is how I'm feeling too! To top of off I have a poorly toddler on my hands! No time
To sleep in this house!! I do find chewing gum settles my stomach and actually eating when the sickness kicks in! I've literally been living on toast for the last four days and so far I've not been sick in 2 days!! As for sleep.. sleep when you can hopefully it should pass for you soon x

You're bringing back memories for me! Totally exhausting experience! I found the last two stages better, just a bit tired, but stage one - oh my days all I could do was sleep!

Thank yooou!! Smile

Makes me feel a lot more at ease. Although the sickness is almost unbearable now Sad. First scan on the 15th so will ask about anti-sickness meds etc.

Fortunately I left my job a few weeks before we found out, and moved after the wedding. There was no way I could've held down a full-time job with how I'm feeling at the moment...

Yep.
No one warned me the first few weeks were the worst for tiredness! Was absolutely exhausted up until about 12-14weeks.

Hi Kknight,

I'm not 9 weeks yet, only maybe 4 or so but I have horrible morning sickness too. I actually ended up in hosp on Tues because I was feeling so poorly due to dehydration and have been given meds but I feel horrible and just want to sleep and lie down all the time, especially first thing in the morning.

With my 1st I had hyperemesis (hyperactive morning sickness), where I couldn't keep anything down at all, even water.

I hope your appointment today went well. Did you ask?

Totally normal. Life with an ever feeding non sleeping newborn isn't as tiring as the first 20 12 weeks.
