Hi all. Well baby was due to be delivered on 22nd December at 39 weeks by elective section. But due to excessive itching had to have bloods and have something wrong with my liver so they need to deliver between 37-38 weeks. Had steriod injection yesterday and have another one due today. Have gestational diabetes which sugar levels went mad.after having steriods. I am diet controlled so managed to get under control.with water and walks. By night all was perfect again. Have pre op on Monday before section on Wednesday. Scan yesterday estimated baby at 6Ibs 7oz. Really nervous. I will be 37 plus 6.

Good luck and congratulations. Will mean you will be feeling better for Christmas and New Year. X

Good luck, I'm sure you and baby will be fine. I had ds at 38+6, no steroids or anything. It was so calm and nice!

Good luck! Only 4 days to go!

Try to have a few lovely nights sleep between now and then, if you can.

You'll be fine

My ds was born at 37 + 3

He was absolutely fine. Just a bit small 5lb 3oz

My little boy was induced at 37+6 and arrived the next day. He was fine and we were home the same day. I didn't have any complications though but don't worry they know what they are doing and have everything prepared for your bubba

Wow good luck!!! At least bubba will be here and I'll definitely be home to enjoy Christmas with them!!

I had an elective section at 37+3. It was great! Bring a selection of smaller sized newborn clothes (we ended up in tiny baby stuff for a few weeks, baby born 5.5lbs) and because you have GD she will be tested for hypoglycemia regularly and may well end up in special care for a day or two as a result of this (most babies when they are learning to feed end up having mild hypoglycemia but only babies of GD mums are tested). we were admitted for 7 days incl 2 days in special care with my girl needing fed through a tube. It felt like torture at the time, but it was fine in hindsight. goodluck for wednesday
