What's your age gap?

Just wanted to know what age gaps you mummy's have between your bubbas, I've got a 14 year old and I'm 6 weeks pregnant, so it's a whooping big gap, would be nice to hear from others with my sort of gap

My youngest was sixteen when I became pregnant again. (I was 44)
I Had a few health problems which resulted in DD being born 8 weeks early, but she's a strapping 9year old now.
I have found it great this time round and a total breeze. Ended up buying all the same games I'd played with my earlier 3 DD's, but as we are financially settled now, found clothes shopping more fun. Also been able to afford a lot more after school activities for her ect....
Haven't really had any negatives at having such a big gap but she is practically an only child as others have all left home to start their own families so I suppose we do a lot more with her to compensate not having siblings at home.

My older two are 8 and 10 and I'm 34 weeks pregnant. Obviously not as big a gap but still quite significant. It's a bit scary!

My boys are 9 and 7 and I'm due end of January

Mine are 2 and 4. No more children yet but have said maybe in time I will have more. I'm still mid 20s. Don't think age gap matters there is 13yrs between me and my brother x

Me to my daughter is 14 and I am 31 weeks pregnant.

People do comment about the age gap and say I must be mad. Surely I was only just getting my life back!

Slightly odd thing to say to me as I wouldn't ever use a child as an excuse to do things. Whether it be travelling or evening courses.

I am 37 and do hope to have a 3rd.

DS1 and DS2 are 18mo apart.

DS2 and DD are 4 years apart.

DD and DC due January will be 20mo apart.

I have a close family member with children aged almost 16, almost 4 and 3mo. She said the 4 and 3mo is worse than the big age gap. Her eldest daughter is relatively indifferent to both siblings, but is capable of helping out when needed.

I do think having kids close together has its benefits, but it also has its drawbacks. I think you get that with any age gap.

Hello. I have a 14yr old and a 12yr old and am currently 12wks + 2 pregnant. The older kids are excited and looking forward to helping out with the little one. They have lots of young cousins who they adore already. It will be totally different for me this time round! Lol

I have 6 1/2 years between dd's 1 & 2. I'm now pregnant with number 3 when this one is born dd1 will be 10 dd2 will be 4

As with everything parenting-related, everything you do will be judged by someone!
Big age gap, small age gap, bottle feeding, breastfeeding etc.
If you're happy that's all that matters, sod everyone else and their opinions!
I have a 19 month old DD and a 7 week old DS - 17 month gap. Family members had plenty to say about that gap But they also used to say that co-sleeping with DD would "ruin my marriage"....well obviously not if I was pregnant again within 8 months of her being born

2.5 years between 1 and 2. Then 10.5 to next. They are now 9, 19 and nearly 22.

The best bit i found was having a cute baby that looks at you with unconditional love. It helps when you are ruining your teenagers life by asking if they had lunch or indeed by just existing. Also babies are less likely to need £5 everytime they leave the house

Hi I have a 13yr old ds and a 14week old dd my son absolutely adores his sister, I did worry about the age gap but it doesn't bother me in the slightest now. I think it's easier when there's such a big gap there doesn't seem to be many jealousy issues and the older child is just starting to find their own feet and doesn't quite need mum so much. The only down side is its like being a first time mum again it's been so long since I did baby things I had forgotten all the basics!

16 months between dd (13) and ds (11) and I'm 15 weeks pregnant with my third. Dp has 2 dd aged 12 and 11.

Dc1 - dc2 14 months
Dc2 - dc3 20 months
Dc3 - dc4 2 years 4 months
I get lots of "you're mad" type comments, I just smile sweetly & agree now.

I've a 13 yr old and an almost 7 yr old. I'm 6 weeks pregnant

20 months, hard work as both of them need me to do everything for them. Both are in nappies etc. I'm hoping that it'll get easier soon!! But the baby is only 17 weeks so I expect it to get worse before it gets better!!

DC1 = 14 yrs
DC2 = 6 yrs
DC3 = 10 months

Felt like I've enjoyed each one individually. People always do the 'wow, why such big age gaps' which is rude. Could be tonnes of private reasons! Ours is simply we wanted big gaps that and my pregnancies/labour were sheer hell couldn't face it too soon again after each one

My daughter will be just turning 4 when this one is due

6 years here. It's quite nice as ds 7 is very protective of dd 1. I'd prefer a big age gap to a small one I think

I will have a 5 year age gap between mine. I wanted a smaller age gap, but we struggled to conceive our second and now I'm feeling quite positive about it. I think there's advantages and disadvantages to every age gap really.

I have an 18 year old and my other one will be 15 by the time no 3 arrives (I'm 10 weeks now) so I really understand the comments about the huge age gap and how it will all pan out! My DD has been great and wants to be fully involved - even be at the birth which could be interesting! DS doesn't want to talk about it and is in complete denial about the whole situation so I hope he comes round soon and is more accepting of it all.
