Holiday/flying at 33/34 wks?

Assuming that I'm low risk and safe to fly, of course - do you reckon I'll still be able to have a nice time?
Trip involves a 2.5hr flight to a family event at Easter in northern Italy (so similar cool/damp climate to here). I'll be 33/34 wks by then, fingers crossed.

Will this be a lovely last baby-free trip and I should definitely go, or will I feel like a weepy whale and not enjoy it?

I would go, I am going at the same weeks but 10 hours away :-)

Make sure you get a letter from your doctor and take it with you on the flight. And get travel insurance that covers you. Go and enjoy yourself!

Thank you both!

I am 34 weeks and just back from a holiday to Malta, 4 hour flight. I got the midwife to sign a 'fit to fly' note for me, but was never asked for it. The holiday was fantastic and just what I needed, sun, sea and sand!

The flight was pretty hard to be honest, we have a 22 month old toddler and should've booked her her own seat because having her on our laps (me in window seat, 6ft5 DH in middle seat) was really really hard on a very full plane-getting out to see was near impossible! So advice would be to make sure you have enough space, and possibly an aisle seat/extra legroom seat if you can (neither possible with toddler unfortunately) but definitely go on holiday, I feel so so much better now after it than before!

So glad to read this! My mum booked a holiday to Greece on the night I got my bfp (we obviously agreed but she still doesn't know I'm pg) for when I'll be 34ish weeks. I'm a bit worried! Would have preferred it be a bit earlier. Glad to read others had nice experiences.
