My leg 😭

I'm 36 weeks and my left leg is very sort at the part where it joins onto my pelvis and it really hurts to walk and it feels weak and heavy! The pain is under my bum cheek and I'm not sure if there is a bone beside your vagina but that really hurts too!! It hurts to walk around and it hurts to get up off the sofa it hurts to roll over in bed and the pain wakes me up during the night when I move and sometimes I have to move my leg with my hands!! I see my midwife on Friday! Any ideas?

Sounds like some kind of trapped nerve/ SPD/ sciatica situation to me. Nasty and painful, makes life a misery.

Can you ring the midwife sooner to see if she has any ideas? They may tell you to dose up on paracetamol with the hope it may help to calm it down.

On the optimistic side I had issues in both of my preganancies like this, but they didn't get gradually worse so it may get a bit better again. I know I assumed with DD1 when I couldn't walk at 25 weeks I would be in agony throughout but at the end it was actually better.

Yea I think I will call her but she never seams to answer. It was a lot worse last night I got up for the toilet and I couldn't walk!! Then when I made it to the bathroom I couldn't sit down

If she doesn't answer then give your GP a call.

I never had not being able to sit down. I do remember going to the toilet in the night and not being able to get up again though Sad

As PP has said phone midwife and if she doesn't answer then phone your gp, this sounds like classic PGP/SPD, my cousin and I both had it with our DDs and ended up on crutches (they threatened me with a wheelchair but thankfully DD came early). They should refer you to physio who can give you a support, possibly crutches and exercises which help.
In the mean time try sleeping with a pillow between your knees (was amazed how much this helped me) and when rolling over in bed hold them together, go slowly. Also you might find a hot water bottle on the area when you are sat/lay down may reduce the pain a little.
If it's any comfort this usually disappears within hours of giving birth, I had a section and by the time my epidural wore off my pain had magically disappeared!

Not a clue but watching this thread - 25 wks with my second and my left thigh bone, muscle and left side of my groin are constantly throbbing and feel like a painful dead weight! Let me know if you figure it out.

I have the same pain under the bum cheeks and groin, hips and pubic bone pain is kicking in now, it's horrible, it's all part of the 'joys' of pregnancy. 😣

I've been having problems with (what I thought was) my lower back but turned out to be the SI joint where the pelvis attaches to the spine. After visit to the osteopath where I was given some gentle manipulation and exercises, I'm feeling loads better. Apparently it is very common in pregnancy.
Hope you recover soon.
