Spotting

So I just had my first scan and I'm about 7+4. They found a cyst on my left ovary which they're not worried about and saw a lovely heartbeat. That was around 3:15 this afternoon. So 6 hours later, I've just noticed after going for a wee and wiping (sorry tmi) that there was a little pink blood on the tissue, barely noticeable but it was there. I'll speak to my midwife tomorrow but has anyone experienced this?
Thanks!

i didn't spot at 7 week but 11, then a significant bleed at 13 and 15. The last two being told i would probably miss carry. Luckily not the case.

They found i have a simple cyst also at 7 week and they said it wouldn't normally be a cause for bleeding.

My first bleed was red blood.the 2 that followed where brown with clots which i think was still a bleed from the first. They didn't really have any idea why i bled but said it happened in ladies sometimes. They called a it a sub chronic haemorrhage.

Hopefully its nothing too serious but i would get it checked out if you can sooner rather than later.
Im resus neg so ended up having anti D injections the last 2 times.

That's more reassuring thank you. I spoke to my midwife and she's booked me for a scan on Monday and told me to go to A&E if I was concerned about my own health.
I seem to be bleeding a little more but still not nearly as much as a period would be and it's sort of on and off.
Apparently there's lots of reasons it can happen and a lot of the time it's nothing to be concerned about but it's hard not to worry
Thank you :)

Just an update.
Still seem to be bleeding on and off but it's kind of watery and there isn't much. Waiting for this scan seems never-ending! Monday can't come soon enough. Just want to know either way.
Will keep updated in case anyone else is suffering the same.

I had some bleeding at around 7 weeks and had a scan - they told me unless it gets heavier or you start getting cramps then to try not to worry!

Also if you had an early scan was it internal? Could it have dislodged some old blood or something? Hope everything is ok for you on Monday Smile

Hi MrsCW
It was an external scan as they thought I was further along (no period as I just came off the pill). The bleeding has stopped now and no cramps :) I think I may have cystitis though which is a bit rubbish so down to the docs tomorrow!
Thank you :)

Goosey, did you manage to see the doctor? What did they say? Cystitis is horrendous, I feel for you!

Gooseygoosey12345 · 10/12/2016 09:33

Hi! I did, she put me on nitrofurantoin which makes your wee a lovely highlighter green colour! But I'm starting to feel better already so they must be doing their job :) I also said about the bleeding and she said it shouldn't be anything to worry about and it's very common which was more reassuring, hopefully everything goes well on Monday. Thanks for asking :)

Just an update. Had my scan, baby is fine thank God, no idea where the bleeding came from which the nurse said was a good thing as there's nothing wrong, it's just one of those things. Massive relief! My cyst has grown though. From 39mm to 51mm so if it hasn't shrunk by 12 week scan they want to refer me to antenatal at 16 weeks to possibly operate as it can cause a twisted ovary which is apparently agonising.

Great news! Glad baby is ok Smile
