B belly woes!

I was overweight before I got pregnant, size 18/20. I'm now lighter than when I first got pregnant by a few pounds even though I'm nearly 24 weeks.

This is my second pregnancy and it's the same as my first with the dreaded B belly. I just look fatter and lumpier, no lovely round D belly for me. ((Sad))

I don't think I ever fully rounded out last time and was hoping with me being a little lighter now that I would but it's not looking hopeful. I find it a little upsetting that I won't get a lovely round belly.

Does anyone else have a B pregnancy belly and did you manage to embrace it eventually?

I'm 20 weeks and a B belly! With DD I did look pregnant from around 26 weeks so it did pass.

It's horrible but you can wear empire line tops that give an illusion of a nice round belly

My sister had this, she wore a tight stretchy belly band from new look over the top of over the bump jeans etc and it smoothed it all and gave a lovely, lifted bump Smile

Here are the pics from my first pregnancy. Brown stripy was about 26 weeks, red stripy 30+ weeks and dress was a week overdue!

In each one my spare tyre at the top is bigger and I manufactured a roundish illusion by using belly bands and over the bump jeans and I just don't think I can be bothered this time. I spend ages getting dressed in a morning trying to look slightly pregnant rather than just extra fat.

I don't think you have much to worry about - the second and third photos there's no mistaking pregnancy! 1st one I'll be honest and say could be a bit unsure but I'm currently in the same boat - 19 weeks and I'm a size 16 but have always carried my weight on my belly - think I still just look fat!!! I weigh lighter than before too, hopefully can keep it this way!

Also want to say I think it's the angle one the first one that's not the most flattering! And balls to everyone else, if it's a stranger thinking it-you aren't ever gunna see them again! And friends or family will know you are pregnant and if they think your fat then balls to them too!

Thanks kshaw, it's the thought of weeks of adjusting and hoiking up belly bands to try and get some shape that I don't think I can be bothered with! I may just have to embrace the B.

26 weeks here and still B bellying, although I'm slightly less obvious than I was a couple of weeks ago. I was a size 14 before pregnancy but have always had a podge on my belly, even when I was little! I'm hoping mine will start disappearing in the next few weeks but if not I'm not too fussed I don't think.

My pregnancy weight all seems to be flying to my bum and legs though now, I'm more worried about my other wobbly bits rather than anything else I think!

Firstly, you look fab in those pictures. Secondly, you've obviously tried hard to eat well for your baby and reduced your risk of complications or Developing GDD so you deserve to feel very snug right now. Thirdly, I'm a 10/12 and my bump has only just rounded out at 33 weeks. Before now it wasn't quite a B shape, more flat fronted, but still not a perfectly round bump. Even now it's slightly squarish! I think is just how some people carry. I know it is for me.
