Hi guys,
This is my first and so i have no idea what my body is doing lol.
im currently 6+4 and the past two days ive had back ache come about lunch time.

I do work in a strenuos job where i do have to lift and bend and stand up a lot. im trying to watch what i lift and so far its been ok.
But after ive sat for lunch my lower back aches like ive been carrying weights all day.

Is this normal so early in the pregnancy? i know your ligaments etc start to loosen but can that happen now?

Ive also since i found out i was expecting at week 4 been getting mild on off cramps. but ive been reassured by the doc not to worry unless i get bleeding too.

Just needed some advice as to wether any of you had this ache so early on?

xoxo

I'm around 6 weeks and have serious cramps and back pain along side an ongoing sick feeling! Family who have recently had a child have reassured its normal it's your body stretching about and preparing! No matter how uncomfortable it is!

Thanks Jenny.
Im constantly on edge that i may have the dreaded "M" word.
Im always looking for blood and any new twinge or slight discomfort and it sets me off.
Glad to know im not the only one and seems to be the norm. Smile
Congrats on the pregnancy xoxo

You and me both! Having needed up anouncing it to a few more people than planned (family members turned up as telling my partners mum) really don't want to dissapoint

millyhopemum · 02/12/2016 16:54

i was the same with the announcing. feeling scared its my first and no idea what to expect i told my mum and sister. and then had to tell my boss and her boss because of doing risk assesments on me at work.
just counting every day down till the 12 weeks are over Smile

I've been pregnant 3 times. My 2nd ended in mc. It was a missed mc so I didn't find out until the scan that my baby had died at 8 weeks. All I can tell you - and it is the most crap advice ever - is that the only thing you can do is take one day at a time and stay positive. With my dd and this pregnancy (I'm 33 weeks) I had no sickness, mild nausea and lots of back pain in the early stages. With the baby I lost, I had exactly the same symptoms plus awful sickness 4 or 5 times a day. My first and 3rd are little girls. I never got to find out about number 2 so always wondered if it was a boy and that's why I felt different. I'll never know. You aren't going to jinx anything by telling people and it won't hurt any more if you stay positive and celebrate your pregnancy. Good luck both and enjoy Flowers

Thank you! Helps a lot! I'm just worried because my sister in law in 10 so very young to be dealing with it all! But trying our best to stay positive eat well etc so fingers cross xx

I had back pain as one of the very first symptoms. That and the need to run away from anything with a strong smell! It did get better by about week 12, am 31 weeks now.

BembaNugget · 07/12/2016 14:11

I found out I was pregnant yesterday and the backaches were actually what made me think this could be it for me and my partner!
As someone said before, it's just ligaments and body adjustments as it gets ready for the baby :)
