I'm seven and a half weeks pregnant (IVF) and the tiredness has hit me like a brick this week.

I've actually took today and yesterday off work and slept most of time.

I know everyone says tiredness is normal, but surely not this much. Had a bit of a dodgy stomach too, so wondering if it's actually the flu?

How tired did you get? Is this normal?

Totally normal. You literally have an alien feeding off your life blood (grin) it gets so much better over night between 12 and 14 weeks when the placenta starts working.

I think they are getting you used to it for later. Sorry that was very unhelpful. Other than I was very ill with spesis I found first trimester more tiring than the new born stage.
