Hi I'm 6 days late and am normally very regular! I have very sensitive and enlarged breasts but keep getting really bad cramps in my tummy. (I don't normally get any pain with periods just a bit of bloating and uncomfort) I think I'm going to get a cheap test today just wandered what people's thoughts were! Can anyone help?

I was in the same boat but didn't take long to register at all! They were even willing to give me an appointment next day but need to give work notice.

Good luck hope all goes well

Perfect Thankyou!! Grinx

Jenny1997 · 30/11/2016 08:59

Made a huge cock up tho! I'm outnin audit next week so turning up at half 10 at a clients isn't going to look good! And what do I say to Work? It's a Drs appointment they will just say to rearrange! Do I just be honest to them?

Just mention it to your manager unless you want to keep it quiet. obviously you might need time off for appointments so if one person knows then you won't feel pressured.

I told my manager today but asked him to keep it to himself until I have been to the doctors to make sure. Smile

Jenny1997 · 30/11/2016 12:54

I wanna keep it quiet TBH! It's a small firm only 13 of us 3 being my managers 🙈 I'm the youngest at 19 so not sure how they will react! Although I know in my contract they actually give me time off to go to midwife appointments which I don't get for Drs appointments

OP posts:
SarahS2404 · 30/11/2016 15:07

Yeah it's pretty much the same for ours 4 are managers and there are only about 20 if not less of us!

Are you a close team? Their reaction shouldn't make a difference with regards to your age (that should be the last thing that comes into mind)

Jenny1997 · 30/11/2016 15:17

I've only been working here 4 months! And am still on probation period so a little nervous TBH! The next oldest staff members is 5 years older and they love to party etc! So I've no clue what there reaction will be! My manager was fine with a Drs appointment so I was let off the hock! Hoping to just turn up with my 12 week scan pics at work aha

SarahS2404 · 30/11/2016 16:15

Well I'm sure they will be happy for you either way! My colleagues are the same, they love to party but I think they will be happy for me anyway.

At least you don't have to worry about the doctors appointment. Don't stress too much it's not good for the baby xSmile

alexnorthernireland1 · 30/11/2016 19:12

Congratulations , I am pregnant too! So exciting and scary! I don't plan to tell until 12 weeks! But I understand about Christmas ! Any ideas on how to hide it lol? Xx

SarahS2404 · 30/11/2016 20:32

I've gone with telling work (apart from my manager) that I have a water infection and am on antibiotics so can't drink.

& congratulations! How far along are you?x

Jenny1997 · 30/11/2016 20:46

Congrats! I'm sticking with the fact I'm driving! And saying I've gotta be up early the next day! Need to think of something that I'm doing yet!

Will your partner have your back and go alcho free? Mins says he will but will see how that goes.. Lol xx

SarahS2404 · 30/11/2016 21:25

alexnorthernireland1 I never even thought about that haha! I'm quite happy not too drink before I was pregnant so I don't mind if he still drinks. X

Jenny1997 · 30/11/2016 21:37

We barely drink anyways so not fussed if he has a few TBH

I made up that I was on a diet and also seeing if I could reduce my alcohol intake. Worked for me and I managed to not drink at my hen do and my wedding by only telling my DM and having her get my 'drinks'. I was due yesterday - enjoy it it's magic X

Jenny1997 · 01/12/2016 06:46

Oh wow! Congratulations! Nobody would believe I'm on a diet that's the issue. My parents always kick off if I'm trying to loose weight as I was anorexic when I was younger!
We told my partners parents and sister last night by Christmas cards with nana auntie etc on and they loved it! We're over the moon! Going to help us sort out the nursery and get everything ready!
Just my parents to go on Sunday! Fingers crossed they don't get too mad!

SarahS2404 · 01/12/2016 07:05

I'm glad it went well for you Jenny! :)

We're saving our announcement until Christmas Day. It's so hard staying quiet. I'm sure everything with your parents will be fine. X

mum2Bomg · 01/12/2016 07:17

Ah that's lovely - so glad they're excited! Smile

Jenny1997 · 01/12/2016 07:26

I would save mine till all my family are together Boxing Day but fear there may be a huge argument aha! So fingers crossed all goes well!
My partners step mums sister is pregnant too also 6 weeks so I'll have someone to go through it all with but also takes the pressure off
