30+4 today and apparently all the really shite bits have hit me all at the same time. The heartburn is so bad I've just been sick, the sciatica I've had since 20 weeks has now become unbearable and I can't sit down, I need to wee trickle out a tiny bit approx eleventy billion times a day and night, I'm knackered and now also it feels like a tiny little elf wanker is stabbing me in the fanny with a tiny little elf axe. How in the name of all that is holy does anyone cope with this for another 10 weeks?? He better not go two weeks over I'll cry

Yep Peach although mine isnt a foot in the ribs its normally a bum!!! then i get a foot in the side whenever i try and lay on my left!

Oh to top it off too my hormones must be going crazy this week because my spots are soooooo bad!

daisygirlmac · 28/11/2016 18:54

How do you know which bit of baby is sticking in you? I'm genuinely curious I couldn't even tell you which way up mine is! I know he does something which feels like he's a beached whale inside me sort of flopping and flailing about, and he's definitely kicking and/or punching me lots but how do you know which bit is which?

Anyone had bastard pregnancy induced carpal tunnel? I mean what in actual fuck is that about? For the past two weeks I've woken up in total agony, hands killing me, or totally numb. Cue another two hours being awake.

That and heartburn, total bastard too.

32 weeks and the size of a house, no chance anyone asking me if I'm pregnant!

Whatsername17 · 28/11/2016 19:02

I think my baby might have her head engaged. I'm feeling a lot of pressure and keep needing to wee but only managing a trickle. Once I get to 37 weeks I'm going to be bouncing on the birthing ball like a mad woman!

oldlaundbooth · 28/11/2016 19:02

Not sure which bit is which, Daisy, all I know is that there's two huge bumps and then the odd hand or foot shaped which appears under my belly occasionally Grin

TinyHumanJan17 · 28/11/2016 19:05

i only know because the mw's have been telling me hes getting ready to engage and is head down for the last 7 weeks!! and i know for a fact tht the big rock like bit isnt hands or feet lol

tbh hes laid pretty much the same the entire way through my pregnancy; hes found a comfy spot and stayed there!

Dueindecember2016 · 28/11/2016 19:10

My baby is all bum in my ribs. 25 days and counting

TinyHumanJan17 · 28/11/2016 19:12

40 days... if he waits that long

daisygirlmac · 28/11/2016 19:19

Tiny comfy spot for him maybe, I imagine not so much for you!

This thread is just what I needed tonight. OP I showed your post to my DP and said "this is how I feel!" 29+2 today.
The heartburn is horrendous!

TinyHumanJan17 · 28/11/2016 19:34

nope definitely not for me!!

PeachBellini123 · 28/11/2016 19:37

I know because I had a scan and she told me his feet were by my ribs. Blooming painful. Think he will be a footballer at this rate Wink

daisygirlmac · 28/11/2016 20:02

Peach I hope he's the best footballer ever and earns loads of money so he can keep you in gin for the rest of your life by way of apology.

I'm sat alone at the kitchen table because the heartburn is so bad I darent move until I'm confident I won't be sick. I really need to move as well as I desperately need to take the giant torture device worse than spanxtubigrip off so I can breathe properly

My coccyx is driving me crazy. I've never had this issue in previous pregnancies; more pelvic issues and SPD type pains, but now my tailbone feels bruised and battered by the end of the day.

Sparrowlegs248 · 28/11/2016 21:08

It's shit. Ds is poorly, I am poorly. Just had to cuddle him for an hour as he keeps coughing and crying. Now I can't get off the bed. I haven't got the stabby fanjo elf but I have got thrush. Yey for me.

PeachBellini123 · 28/11/2016 21:46

Daisy - got horrible back pain and your comment made me smile Grin

daisygirlmac · 29/11/2016 14:53

Well fellow sufferers, I've just cried and got cross with the midwife because they have totally cocked up and not booked me in properly following our move. It's a different hospital and nobody has picked up that I should be consultant led so I've not got the right appointments booked grrrrrr

OP posts:
PeachBellini123 · 29/11/2016 17:19

Daisy - sorry to hear that I hope it gets sorted. I'm loathe to moan about my care so far as I know how overstretched the NHS is but there's been so many admin mistakes with my care. They booked me in for a c-section when I was 32 weeks Shock It turned out they got my notes mixed up with someone else. But both DH and I had numerous phone calls from the hospital/midwife asking why I hadn't turned up for a c-section I knew nothing about!!

daisygirlmac · 29/11/2016 17:26

Peach I know exactly what you mean, feel very bad for moaning because they are doing their best with too few resources but equally it's fairly crucial I get to see a consultant and it's not just missed! The midwife I saw at my 28 week check up had totally failed to update notes, take a history, book the right blood tests or arrange the right follow up appointments Hmm all sorted now but only because I've pushed

TinyHumanJan17 · 29/11/2016 18:43

had my 34w mw check today... bubba is 3/5 engaged apparently. they keep saying that means nothing and they can come back out but im trying to think of it in a positive sense that all this pain and pressure and constant peeing isnt for nothing!

PeachBellini123 · 29/11/2016 19:40

Daisy - that's the scary thing. I've had to push and luckily I'm good at standing up for myself but there's so many women who wouldn't have the confidence to chase things. It's not good enough.

Tinyhuman - I'll be interested to see how much my baby's engaged at my next appointment. He feels so low!

daisygirlmac · 29/11/2016 21:12

Ooh tinyhuman that must be exciting! Mine is apparently feet first, hopefully he'll have a good wriggle around in the next few weeks!
