After very recently suffering a miscarriage and D & C DH and I are starting to think towards the future and when to try again. I don't have an appointment with my GP until next week but i was wondering how long we should wait until we start trying again. Is it a matter of personal choice (obviously i want to make sure we have dealt with this loss as best we can and feel ready to move on) or should we wait until i have have had a few periods etc?

Thanks

My sister had an early m/c and was pregnant again the next month. Do what feels right for you.

i had early m/c and pregnant straight after. It felt right for us. I think they prefer you not to so easier to date preganancy etc.

Best wishes in whatever you choose

Agree that it is a personal choice. The medical profession generally seem to advise waiting until you've had at least one period, but that seems to be more to facilitate dating than for any medical reasons...

mumpbump sums it up. the "wait a month" is a hangover from the days before datign scans. Cos your body has to deal with a lot physically and emotionally you could also make sure you are taking caring care of yurself generally - good food etc. Good luck.
