If you are BF and have no period, when do i find out if/ im pregnant?

have stomach pains, and feel very very tired, so i did a pregnancy test yesterday which came out negative. But i keep thinking maybe it didnt show up because its too early. So when can you be certain?

some help would be much appreciated!

as a period comes 12-14 days after ovulating, can i presume that a pregnancy test would give a correct result 12-14 days after sex (assuming no sex in between)?

please help!

Perhaps the pains are period pains as your periods are about to return (happens to us all eventually I'm afraid)?

well im on cerazette (min pill) and dr said unlikely to have period when on that pill and BF. I just have this feeling that it may not have worked. I am getting quite anxious that i just dont know when i will even know when im preg (assuming the contraception has failed!)

mum199- i stopped b/feeding totally at New Year. I'm now about 4 / 5 wks pregnant. I did a negative test a few days before the positive ones.

Give it a couple of days and do another test. Hope you get the result you want.

just looked at your maths and you havent calculated for sperm life. sperm can live around 3-5 days so if you are bein on the v generous side allow 19 days from the deed.

I'd try and wait two weeks and then test again. Unless you're worried about the effects of the pill on any developing baby in which case, test every day for two weeks (and if you can afford it!!)...

that is quite funny. But i could get to post 4 months before i would realize. I was very lucky and had no sickness etc just very tired - but thats all relative. And very small bump initialy - dr even sent me to have extra scan.

My boobs feel painful when baby feeds and he doesnt feed for very long.

so conclusion is abstain for two weeks nad then test to be absolutely sure? that is a very long time

my friend who is a dr had a lady come in to hosp with stomach pains. you can guess the rest - and she wasnt a large woman. she must have needed a hell of a lot of therapy. Wake up one morning, hold your baby that night!!

Well, you could do one test now and, if that is negative, do another test in two weeks. If you conceived more than two weeks ago, I guess you'd have a very good chance of getting a positive now...
