worried about work

I'm on my last week of work and all I have is a post in note with a leaving date on. I've had no letters from head office, nothing official. My contract hours are only 8 but I work more. I'm not sleeping well at night having weird dreams and this is making me anxious. I talk to my boss she says she will phone payroll and that's the last I hear. What do I do? I handed in matb1 ages ago.

Can you email your boss so you have a paper trail of your request? Otherwise you have done what you needed to, so just assume there aren't any problems and try to relax about it.

I would call payroll yourself. I had done everything I was supposed to but my manager wasn't the best. Got to 2 days before leaving and I called HR who had the paperwork but hadn't done a thing with it. 7 weeks later I still don't have my MATB1 from my office. I got paid, more than I should have so they'll be wanting money back I'm sure.

Rusk your MATB1 comes from your midwife.

Thanks fuzzyowl I had it from the midwife, handed it in to work to claim maternity pay. I'm not entitled so they have to return it so that I can claim maternity allowance and they aren't returning it - or at least I haven't received it.

You need it back and an SMP1 form. I'd go to HR or payroll as you won't get any money otherwise.

it was my last day today and I'm worried sick their not going to pay me. I had a letter on Wednesday basically saying thank you for informing us your pregnant so what I would have expected to receive ages ago.
As I was leaving my manager said something about how shes sent a photo of my MatB1 to payroll and they will get back to me about my pay and if they don't pay me I can go to job center I handed in Matb1 soon as I was given it, Ive been working their over a year and I have been earning what I need to be entitled to pay so I'm not sure where I stand.

Working for a year you should be entitled to SMP from the company but they do all have slightly different rules. It might be SMP without any enhanced pay or something.

I'd definitely ring payroll/HR though. You need to know asap what's happening with your money. They should have sent you a letter or email, something confirming that they will pay you! Or, if for any reason they weren't going to, you should have had an SMP-1 form so that you could apply for MA.

Get onto them as soon as possible because if for any reason you have to claim MA instead, it takes a while for them to process your claim and pay you, like 4-6 weeks ish plus it's coming up for Christmas.
