Hello mummies. I'm new here. I hope someone can help me or reassure me as I'm so worried. I had my 20 week scan yesterday and was told that it looks like my baby has slightly more fluid on the right side of the heart than normal. They said everything looks and is working properly. I don't have to go back until Tuesday. Iv read that it can sometimes disappear by the time the baby is born.
I'm worried sick and don't know what to think
Has anyone else been in the same situation and what was the outcome?
Thank you 😘

No I haven't but we were told at 20wks our baby's heart didn't look normal and had to go back a few days later for a special scan. That's when the world came crashing down. Vessels In the wrong places, holes in between chambers, some vessels too wide some too slim. I'm now 33weeks and have scans regularly to check his growth and to see how his heart is doing although we know it won't change until after birth. So we planned for our baby to be taken to a cardiac intensive care unit straight after birth where he will be monitored and have his first heart surgery.
I know my baby's problems are a lot different to yours but they will keep a very close eye on your baby
