It looks positive but I've read through your thread and without sounding awful I wouldn't get your hopes up as this seems to of happened to you a lot, when are you due AF?

mummabubs · 20/05/2017 16:29

That does look positive but I also had the same thoughts as Dangle on this one. In the nicest of ways (and I truly mean nicest of ways!) I second BringMeTea123 wholeheartedly. I know it's really hard to wait and not test, but I just bite my cheek thinking about how much you must have spent already on all these tests! When I was TTC (currently 20 weeks) I refused to take a single test before my due date, and then even when I had my first negative result I waited the full 48 hours before retesting. ... and then another 48 hours after that second negative when AF still hadn't showed and that's when I finally got my BPF. It was really hard not testing early and multiple times but I'd honestly recommend it, saves you money and ongoing uncertainty. Hope this apparent positive turns out to be accurate OP 😊

Hi Rebecca,
I really can't see a line but again you're very early.
Please don't test again until the day/day after your missed period. I'm sorry you're dealing with this heartbreak. But please try and keep your mind off it.
Have you spoken to GP?
All the best

beccii161016 · 03/06/2017 08:04

Honestly, I know everyone is saying it but that's because it's true. You need to wait until at least your due period date to test and expect it to be reliable. Some say you can test up to 6 days before you miss a period but the closer to your period due date, the more reliable the test is going to be.
Part of the reason you're getting all of these mixed emotions and tests is because you're doing so many and at such random points in your cycle. I'm not having a go I promise I'm just trying to stop you driving yourself mad!

You need to allow the HCG to build up in your body. Once you've tested on your period due date, leave it 48 hours before testing again. If you don't, you're more likely to get a negative even if you are pregnant as the HCG hasn't had chance to build up. Also, it's important for monitoring a healthy pregnancy to see how the line is 48 hours after. Technically, there should be the same amount or more HCG so the line should be the same or darker.

I wish you all the luck in the world but it's really important to test according to guidelines (e.g. Only read the results within the timeframe and don't crack them open) or you can get unreliable results that drive you insane and get you down

rebeccac29 · 03/06/2017 12:32

I haven't cracked any open today they was after 3 minutes then got darker will just wait not long

In the nicest way possible I think you need to see a doctor. You have a lot of positive tests over a long period of time. You need further tests I think x good luck x

rebeccac29 · 05/06/2017 08:00

What do you think it is I feel stupid going to docs about it

OP posts:
kizzle · 05/06/2017 08:25

Just go and see your doctor. They will be able to advise more ☺️

SparklyMagpie · 05/06/2017 08:30

OP i'm really sorry and i'm not wanting to offend but agree with the last few posters, you arn't giving it enough time. I can't imagine how much you've spent on tests :( unfortunately i think the majority are evaps, the last one especially, but i second you should see your GP and have a chat about all of this, i'm sure they'll be supportive :)

I can imagine how frustrating and confusing it has been for you, but if you try and hold off i think it would help, some posters have given great advice about waiting the 48 hours etc.

You are going to drive yourself crazy, so maybe take a little break, i'm sure it will work out for you :)

ElsieMae13 · 05/06/2017 10:27

Help! I've got irregular ish cycles so I'm not exactly sure when I'm due but I think middle of last week. I took these tests over the last two days and they've are all exactly the same within the time frame of the test. Is it too soon to be excited?? I don't want to spend money on expensive digital tests as I'm not sure I could take it saying "not pregnant" if I'm just testing too soon! Thank you sooo much

They are definitely positive ElsieMae13 congratulations

ElsieMae13 · 05/06/2017 11:57

I don't think I'll believe it until I do a "proper" test - but definitely worth a trip to boots if that line is enough for you too. Eek! Very surreal feeling, thank you for your thoughts sparkly magpie x

cleo3x · 05/06/2017 13:26

Elsie, don't by a digital test too soon as they're not as sensitive and those 3 are definitely positive! Just to save you the heartache of a false negative wait a little while before getting a clear blue! x

ElsieMae13 · 05/06/2017 13:46

How long do you think I should wait Cleo? This would be any number 1 so all totally new to me x

cleo3x · 05/06/2017 19:28

It's hard to say lovely! It really depends person to person because every woman's HCG builds up gradually :) I'd wait until around a week after your period is due but it's completely up to you!

Believe me they are positives lovely! I didn't believe I was pregnant until my first scan Grin

ElsieMae13 · 06/06/2017 07:51

Well I went to buy a first response but my Tesco only had clear blue so I thought I'd give it a go and you were right - definitely positive! Thank you all for the advice x

On the 3rd you said you were due your period in 5 days so surely this test just indicates ovulation? The timing sounds right.

rebeccac29 · 21/06/2017 07:10

My period are 45 days so I am 3 days late now

Camnico · 25/06/2017 09:01

Your posts go so so so far back, you are a serial tester and by the looks of things testing every month and too early. This must be putting some amount of stress on you which isn't good for TTC. Just try relax and it'll happen, I know that's easy to say when you want something badly but you're just gonna drive yourself nuts
