Hey, so ive noticed during these last two days that my belly is really soft and almost deflated,i can feel baby & she's still moving fine so any idea why this had happened? I do get braxton hicks and my belly hardens then.

Have your waters gone? Or the baby dropped?

Nowthereistwo · 14/11/2016 22:49

Baby has probably engaged in to the pelvis. Sometimes they say the bump has dropped as it changes.

Do you have a mw appointment soon or a drop in to chevk

If you're worried, or something has changed (as in this case), phone your midwife. Better to feel a fool when she tells you it's normal than take the risk.

I remember having this, it feels really strange but as others have said it is the baby dropping into the pelvis, ready for the final stages.

I had this too, I had to go for a growth scan at 37 weeks as my bump measured smaller than what it was is the last appointment, it looked like the bump had shrunk so MW was worried that the baby had stopped growing. Everything was fine. My bump didn't grow after that, baby weighed 7lb 5oz (+/- 1lb) at 37w and was 7lb 8oz born at 41+3

I saw my doctor yesterday who said that my baby was 3/5 palpable so maybe she has dropped. I had a ctg and all was fine, as i have regular ctgs anyways & i have scan tomorrow. My waters haven't gone yet though, i was slightly worried i'm leaking them or something..although I haven't seen any evidence of that.
