Hi,

Just wondered what people's thoughts were on navy blue pushchairs for girls? I love the navy bugaboo but we don't know what we're having. Is it too boyish?? Xx

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Navy is good or my brother got an orange one for his DD. Both nice colours and you can use them again for any sex. Sorry everyone has been really nasty on here.

Your navy pram sounds really nice. Good luck with the baby. Smile

Jeezo there's some amount of uncalled comments on here eh?!

OP navy is perfectly fine. You're question is not a stupid one at all and I'm surprised a group of mums who turn to mn for support and to ask questions without feeling stupid or embarrassed can respond in such a way. I'm sure you've all asked similar questions at some point!

I actually asked myself the same question when pg with DD and to be honest I don't regret my choice! It's a nice change from black and doesn't show up as much dirt she says as she starts scrubbing the endless marks and crumbs that magically appear whenever it's used

It actually looks really nice with a pink blanket and also with a blue (when DS arrived)

It's a completely personal choice which colour you go for. Please don't be put off by silly uncalled for comments Wink

I've read and re-read the question and I am totally lost.
So, in the spirit of trying to assist the op:

  1. navy pushchair - sounds very nice and "classy";
  2. "for girls", "too boyish" - this is where I remain totally lost unless your aim is to ensure that you impose gender stereotypes on your baby from the outset. If so, then you need to go for pink (or yellow at a push) and steer clear of the blue.

I have picked a navy blue pram too (cosatto one) and am having it regardless of baby being a boy or girl! I just love it so if you love the pram go for it!

Ps my little one will be wearing this dashing little navy number regardless of if baby is a boy or girl!

But that's just me smile

It really isn't just you. Quite a lot of us mothers of girls don't dress them in pink, glitter and headbands.

I actually can't be bothered to reply any more after this post. Thanks to all the useful replies. To the insulting ones, it's time to move on to the next poster that you can rip apart and make feel like shit. Cheers

Ignore the sarcastic remarks. There's a lot of people nowadays who like to get on their high horse about the fact that some colours are given a female/male connotation as they believe it shouldn't be the case.

If you like the travel system get it! I think Navy is pretty gender neutral anyway and they're smart Smile if you personally would like some traditionally girly colours (which is entirely you're decision and is MORE than okay) you can always buy blankets and such in those colours if you like!

Good luck pram picking! SmileFlowers
