Headaches

I've been getting headaches during my pregnancy on and off sometimes they last a couple of days. I'm 15 weeks pregnant. I'm now terrified it's a sign of Pre Eclampsia Shock Can you just get headaches normally? They ease when I take paracetamol but I think because I don't like taking it I leave it to see if the headaches go and then they carry on where as I should of just taken the paracetamol to clear it.
My blood pressure was normal if a little low last week so I guess this is good?

I'm in the same boat. In 20 weeks now, and have had maybe 5 really nasty headaches. Like you I avoid paracetamol, my midwife told me off and said to take when I needed it.
it's to do with the hormones and needing to drink more to stay hydrated.

I had horrendous headaches when I was pregnant. They would last for days and paracetamol wouldn't always work. That 4head stuff you can buy is ok to use, drink loads of water and try getting one of those beanbag things you hear up in the microwave and putting it round the back of your neck, I found that really soothing.

I would mention it to your midwife but mine told me that it was hormonal and not related to pre-eclampsia in the first 20 or so weeks. The headaches calmed down a lot once I got past 20 weeks, hope yours do too!

I had terrible headaches around the end of the first tri. I was reluctant to take drugs so I tried acupuncture. It worked brilliantly and lasted about a fortnight before they returned. Fortunately by then they were easing.

Yep, I have had some terrible headaches. I am at risk of pre eclampsia so being monitored for it and all clear so far. Also my Dr said pre eclampsia starts after 20 weeks (and usually later) so you wouldn't be experiencing it at 15 weeks. It is really horrible though. My midwife said some women do suffer more than others.

You're not alone. I've been having horrible headaches.
However I haven't had one now for 4 days so I am wondering if they have finally stopped. I'm 21 weeks and was having them every day without fail for about 10 weeks
