When did you tell your family??

I'm 6 weeks pregnant and have told my parents and my partners parents however I don't know when is a good time to tell my siblings?? When did everyone tell theirs (and their close friends)

DC1 family including siblings & close friends 8 weeks.

DC2 as above but at 5 weeks as it was DP's birthday night out & I knew I couldn't fool people by not drinking, so we told the family before the night out!

Work knew after the 12 week scan.

Didn't tell anyone, not even parents until 20+ weeks. We don't see any often anyway so they wouldn't have known if I had been 9months TBH

I told everyone at 10weeks after a private ultrasound. They didn't believe me because I had been going to my mums once a week for a drink and take away and I had been drinking.... or so they thought I had 😌 Apprently I'm very good at acting drunk. If you have had a scan and seen a heartbeat then go ahead and share your news

Didn't tell anyone at all until 14 weeks, then just close family, and told friends/work/extended family about 2-3 weeks later.

My first pregnancy I told family at about 7 weeks.
My 3rd I told my mum as soon as I found out at 5 weeks, but I was petrified I was having another ectopic. When we knew I wasn't, at 6 weeks I told the rest of my family and my friends. We lost our son at 21 weeks due to multiple anomalies.
My 4th pregnancy I didn't tell anyone at all (obviously apart from DP) we were going to wait until after 12 week scan but we had a mmc.
I decided that for us it was a million times better having everyone close to is know I was pregnant and having the support when we lost our babies that having to lie that I was okay.
28 weeks now and I told everyone close to me about 7 weeks again.

I'm 13+5 and so far only dh and I know.

With our first pregnancy, we told everyone straight away at about 5 weeks. Then I had a mc at 9 weeks and I couldn't bear everyone fussing over me and asking if I was OK.

Ds 1 and ds2, we didn't tell anyone until after the 12 week scan.

This time, our scan is on Monday so will hopefully be telling people next week.

16 weeks. We told everyone on first pregnancy as it was IVF and lost at 12 weeks
Second pregnancy completely different and as it was a long journey I actually enjoyed no one knowing as it made it special (if not very scary).

Im close to mine so i told them straight away. I was thinking that if anything did happen id of hated them not to of know i was pregnant in the 1st place.

Also i had been trying over 6 years and told i couldn't have children, so adopted....and now 16 week pregnant :)

Very close to my family but we managed to keep it quiet until I was 16 weeks. It was so special as it was our little secret before that.

My first pregnancy we told them at about 14 weeks, this pregnancy I am 18 weeks and still not told family. My work and local friends know (I have been off work for absolutely ages with hg) but we'll family after the 20 week scan.

I have all my family coming over for an early Christmas as they live all over the world in 2 weeks time so I'll be 8 weeks I'm scared to tell so early but I want to tell everyone face to face as think it's more special that way!

I'm roughly 5 weeks and I've told my mum and stepdad just in case anything happens as my partner works away and I've told work as I have a hard job. I plan to have a private scan and tell the rest of the important people at Christmas which will be 10 weeks then I'll wait until it's obvious for anyone else. It's hard as I don't want to jinx it but I still want the world to know!

I told my mum last week, I'm something less than 6 weeks. I had a bleed and am currently in limbo until my next scan to see if baby has made it or not. I need my mum to help me get through the waiting.
I told work as well as I have a fairly physical job.
