Greeting, MNers. I am just about to go into week 8 of my pg (I mc'ed last year at 11 weeks so haven't joined any ante-natal threads yet). Has a good scan last week, saw foetus and heartbeat. Then we all got the cough/cold/flu thing, and now I'm in flipping agony on the left side of my lower back. Last night it was also a cramping left shoulder, and vag discharge became sticky/elastic mucus (sorry tmi). I was wondering, is there any risk at all of the scan NOT having spotted an ectopic somewhere, if they saw a normal pg in there? Can anyone reassure me? Should I ring GP (and get told to go away until week 10, as usual)?

I think you are probably aching as a result of the virus but I would definitely get checked asap just in case. I don't know if it is poss to have an ectopic and uterine pg at the same time??? Maybe pop up to a and e???
