Seraphine jeans sizing

Just about to order my first pair of maternity jeans and have seen a few in the sale at Seraphine.

I'm 5ft3 and normally size 12.
Would you buy as they recommend on their website or size down?

I don't want to end up with baggy knees and I'm aware they may come up long and il have to get them taken up

True to size or slightly small I found, but my youngest is 5 now.

Buy the size you normally are. I bought jeans/denim skirt/dress in my pre preg size and they all fit.

Are they worth spending the extra money on?

Yes!! Mine still looked new after 2 pg, then sold on eBay.

I'm normally a 12-14 in jeans. I bought the 12 and they're about right, maybe a little big but I'm expecting to get a lot bigger yet so I've kept them. They do look good, I was very impressed with them.

I have the size 8 skinnies and they are abut the right size. I was a size 8 pre- pregnancy when I was running a lot but I've put on about half a stone in last 19 weeks and no longer a size 8 now so I'd say they are a bit generous.

My best new discovery are the black Mothercare 'blooming marvelous' skinny jeans. They are really flattering (more so than the seraphine ones) and make my legs look really slim - running or no running, I'm definitely not blessed with skinny legs!. They have a big panel over the tummy which is super comfy and last 3-4 wears without looking baggy. I'm definitely going to get another pair.

I am usually a 12 and I got the dark slim leg over bump maternity jeans in 12 and they fit really well. Really pleased with them and defo worth the money

I think they're moderately generous in the bum/legs, but not huge in the bump, if that makes sense! Also check whether low or high rise because they come up differently. I'm normally a very standard size ten (sometimes need a tall - am 5'9'') and was in the shop at the weekend. The low-rise size ten was a bit big (giving me a weird low crotch). I have some high rise ones in a ten from previous pregnancy, but the overbump part was way too tight long before the end (admittedly I did have a massive bump/ baby). It is a lovely shop (was eyeing up the coats) but I think jeans might be better at H&M.
