I am 32wks preg with my 3rd child. I was told today that his head isn't free anymore and its 3/5 palpable. Does this mean he'll come sooner? I had both my kids at 38wks. Can anybody help please?

I have no idea, but wanted to bump this incase any night timers know the answer...

means the head is 2 /5 enaged, so not really an indication ,as babies can pop in and out , but, the fact you had your other two babies at 38 weeks, means more than whether the baby is partially engaged IMHO

having said that,babies come when they want to and not a minute sooner ! LOL! but it is good that he/she is head down and partially engaged.

FWIW my DD was 3/5 palp from 34 weeks, and came bang on 40 weeks!

Hi gr8-I'm sure it will be ok-my DS1 didn't ever become engaged before labour, he was born at 38 weeks, DS2's head was 3/5 engaged early on and he arrived at 39 weeks.

DD was at least 2/5 engaged from about 34 weeks and ended up arriving at 40+6 (induced)
this baby has been 2/5 engaged from around 34/35 weeks and I'm still here at 38+4 with no signs of imminent delivery. just a constant need to wee and walk like a jockey.

I would think, as lulu said, that the fact both your others came at 38 weeks is more significant. 2nd and later babies often don't engage at all until labour starts I don't think
