What's the earliest amount of weeks anyone has taken anti sickness meds. Doc gave me them from 6 weeks but wondering if they could have any adverse affects on the baby? Thanks

HI I took cyclizine from five weeks. DS is thirteen weeks old now and absolutely fine.

Sorry to hear you're struggling, I can recommend checking out the hyperemisis support thread here as well as the pregnancy sickness support charity for more help. Flowers

I took cyclizine from about 7 weeks, didn't work so well for me, but it works for a lot of people, there a few different types so there will be something out there for you. they wont give you anything that isn't safe so don't worry about it.

I was also prescribed cyclizine and ranitidine for acid later on in the pregnancy so if you're suffering then do back to your doctors.

Medication has enormously helped me. Took it from around 8/9 weeks. Starting to come off them now at 19 weeks.

Bollocks to taking a tea to help.

And many herbal things aren't safe in pregnancy.

People who need medication for sickness are dealing with the kind of sickness that herbal teas aren't going to help with. I had no intention of taking drugs during my pregnancy either, but sadly hyperemesis had other ideas.

OP, the front-line drugs (typically cyclizine) have been used in hundreds of thousands of pregnant women. They're very safe in 1st tri. I took medication from 8 weeks and wish I'd had it sooner.
