Pregnant not sure how many weeks.

I found out I'm pregnant. Called the doctors today explained is come of the pill and not had a period so don't know how far along I am. Receptionist said I need to find out somehow because they can't book appts until 8 weeks. So how exactly am I supposed to do that? Or do I need to ring back up, I assumed is need an early scan but the receptionist wasn't very helpful.

The gp needs to refer you for an early dating scan.

That's not very helpful of her! How long ago did you come off the pill? Can you go by that being the date of conception?

I would just take the blunt approach and go by your actual last period, which might even make you 8 weeks already. It will keep them happy, they'll scan and find you're not that far along and move everything back to the right dates.

When did you take your last pill?
I'd just go from then as a starting point.
