Hi

i had a 3rd degree tear with first baby (inside and out) that was 2 and a half years ago.

I'm now 30 weeks pregnant and omg the pain is horrible, for example, if I'm sitting on the loo and blow my nose and oh it's so painful, really really really sore. same if i go for #2, like an intense sore pain and it's making me really scared about the birth.

it feels like its all swollen.

does anyone else have this? It's been going on for weeks now. i know it's not an awful problem but i was just wondering if anyone else had it?

I think it's best to seek medical advice from doctor or midwife. It may be the scarring or vaginal varicose veins. Always best to get things checked properly.
I've got scars from 3rd/4th degree tears and episiotomies and never had an issue with them in other pregnancies.

Good luck.

Thanks Jodie. It's weird it feels as painful as if I'd given birth to son 4 weeks ago.

I have a consultant apt at 36 weeks and she's going to do an internal exam to see if everything is ok. I hope so, even though it hurts, as I'm hoping to have a vaginal birth of possible.

Does the pain feel like a bruise? Almost like you have been kicked up the fanjo?

Chemistria · 06/11/2016 21:21

It's weird I have a completely different pain the last few days like all round my groin and inner thighs are bruised when I'm walking, not sure what that's about.

But the one when I'm blowing nose etc is just sore like .... I can't describe it really, not really bruised but like its recently been damaged! Shock

I'd get it checked before 36wks, that's quite a wait if your in pain, doesn't sound very nice at all. Maybe pop to your doctors.

I also had a 3rd degree tear and at 20 weeks I feel like a few pains down there like I have just given birth or had something go in and out of it very odd way to explain it! But it's very rare the pain maybe it might get worse as the weeks go on so will mention to my consultant when I see them! But I just wanted to say I think I know what you mean!

Ahh mummymulb maybe it is from the tear then. I had a very very embarrassing incident involving a trip to A&E and an enema at 20 weeks pregnant and it's been more sore than usual since then Blush I made myself bleed for a good few hours after that too, which again makes me think it could be from my sons birth.

The inside pain is generally if I'm on the loo etc, the other pain I in my thighs I think is more the pressure of the baby on my pelvis but I also have an apt at the hospital this week so I will mention it then too.

The joys of pregnancy Grin
