Not planning on BF, I have 10 weeks left and want to think about starting to get stuff ready for my hospital bag.. one question, which ready made formula do you recommend and how much should I take? Will the midwives hate me for not even entertaining the idea of BF and make my child go hungry?!

Aptamil were fined for that closest to breastmilk claim but it seems it still pervades Hmm they market heavily to HCPs which is why so many of them have an unconscious bias towards it, it doesn't mean it's better.

Have a look at what's stocked in shops near to you and go with something you'll find easy to get hold of.

Hipp is the only formula my breastfed baby would entertain when I went back to work, and to me it smells nicer than the other options, but I seem to remember it's more expensive too. Hipp has fish oils in the ready made cartons but not the big tubs of powder, if that makes a difference to you.
