Anybody else experienced this? I'm only 6 weeks atm but feel so bloated. I'm uncomfortable in all of my clothes, even leggings are digging in! I can't wait to get home each day as the only comfortable clothes are my pj's!!

Yes I feel the same, I'm only 6-7 weeks but I feel like people are going to notice I'm pregnant soon!!

Ciderandskatesdontmix · 02/11/2016 12:36

Same here...not sure how I'm going to hide it for another 6 weeks!

Oh my god yes I feel insane knowing that my baby is only the size of a grain of rice (6 weeks!) and I am so bloated! Not even lower stomach where bump might be logical but up around my ribs! Feel so fat and uncomfy! And allll the burps. Flipping heck. Had to squint to see my 12w bump with my first!

Ciderandskatesdontmix · 02/11/2016 14:20

Yep same here, Upper abdomen bloating... Can't even pretend it's the start of a baby bump!

Yes! I am 22 weeks and had massive bloating from about 4 weeks until about 12. I had to start leaving my trousers undone from about 8 weeks or so as they were just too uncomfortable when sitting down. This is definitely a pregnancy symptom and you are not alone. I had to wear baggy tops for weeks to try and hide it but in reality I don't think anyone would have noticed apart from me.

mrscrocopop · 02/11/2016 22:20

Yes! At 4-8 weeks my bloating was so bad ( and painful) I took myself off to bed early as sitting up was so uncomfortable. It does ease off.

toomuchtimereadingthreads2016 · 03/11/2016 08:29

Ok apparently it is more normal than I thought! Anyone got any remedies for it?! Feel like a flipping burpy beach ball

LittleLionMansMummy · 03/11/2016 08:35

Yes - I looked about 6 months pregnant right from the word go!

RasperryInAMelon · 03/11/2016 08:42

I'm with you ladies! Mine started at about 5 weeks... I'm now 10+6 and am constantly being asked if I'm pregnant! In fact last week at a wedding someone thought I must be at least half way through!

Crystal15 · 03/11/2016 08:46

I'm 11 weeks and mines only just subsiding. It was truly awful! I don't mind a bump but I was huge!

bunni26 · 03/11/2016 09:08

I'm nearly ten weeks and i feel about 25+ i'm so bloated but don't actually feel pregnant is that normal?

mrscrocopop · 03/11/2016 09:19

I never found anything that helped with bloating. But if you're getting a lot of pain from trapped wind I have a trick which is highly undignified but very effective.... get on all fours (elbows and knees) on the bed/floor with your bum in the air and rock back and forth... works like a charm! OH doesn't find it very impressive though...

Manya29 · 02/03/2019 23:31

I'm only 6 weeks but I feel as though surely everyone at work must be suspicious, as I resemble someone closer to 26 weeks!!! Even my spine is curling inwards. My husband says he doesn't see any difference and doesn't understand why, if anything, that makes me feel worse!

TheArtfulScreamer1 · 03/03/2019 06:57

Peppermint tea is a saviour I'm 38 weeks now and get terrible bloating on a night so have a cup of pepermint tea every night and it helps settle it.

AnnaMC214 · 03/03/2019 07:57

I'm 9 weeks and I'm so bloated that none of my jeans or work trousers fit properly anymore. I got so uncomfortable that yesterday I went and bought a bump band that allows you to wear your normal trousers undone with the band over the top to hide it. I tried it on as soon as I got home and felt comfortable in my jeans for the first time in weeks. Highly recommended!

amehh · 03/03/2019 18:22

Me! I'm so bloated! 5+2 and I'm normal sized until I drink or eat anything and then that's it, I'm super bloated and uncomfortable all day. Having some serious paranoia about it but I'm hoping it's just in my head!

coral13 · 03/03/2019 18:33

We had to tell everyone really early on that I was pregnant!

I'm a size 6 with a completely flat stomach and even early on when it was just bloating I LOOKED pregnant - there was no way I could hide it haha.

Wedgiecar58 · 03/03/2019 20:29

I had it big time from about week 8-11, I went out and bought some looser fitting clothes (not maternity, just sized up) and then at around 11/12 weeks it went, thank god!

I still feel I have gained a lot, probably more than we’re meant to in the 1st trimester, I don’t actually know my pre-pregnancy weight (scale scare!) and I conceived over Xmas where I massively overindulged with the intentions of a NY health kick, then got my BFP and used it as an excuse to continue the indulgence cos I “needed the energy”

Regretting it a lot now Confused

Cherim90 · 04/03/2019 17:17

Omg SAME! I don't remember this with my first either! I've just started to make a conscious effort to eat healthier as I went through a month of eating anything and everything and thought that might be it lol honestly unless I breath in, I feel about 20 weeks pregnant maybe more 😂😂 I've gone and bought the next size up in work trousers lol x

Em39ma · 04/03/2019 17:48

I’m 7 weeks and look 6 months pregnant. I think a lot of us have it, so very normal

Fletche · 04/03/2019 18:19

I'm 13 weeks, and have struggled wih very painful bloating in my gut since the start. I've find that lemon water and a bannana in the morning helped a little. I've also found avoideding all pulses (not worth the pain!), ots of water, ginger tea, short walks, walm baths, hot waterbottles, and a little yoga eased it a little.

It's been a case of trial and error and I different things work for different people. Good luck!

Mmmhmmm · 04/03/2019 18:29

I was like that for the first 17 weeks, it was awful, I'd feel so bloated that I couldn't eat normal size meals.

klaaalla · 28/06/2019 10:10

Ohhhhh hello, I could have written this thread. I'm 7 weeks and I look 5 months. Not even bothered about how I look though it's how I feel. It's so uncomfortable and UGH. If anyone knows a way to reduce it please let me know!
