I'm 40+3 and every so often getting a sharp dagger like pain in my groin area that is kind of like a shock. What could this be? Could labour be on its way??!!

Could be baby kicking your cervix which can feel like that sharp electric shock feeling. If it's that then it doesn't relate to labour at all, sorry!

If it feels like a downwards sharp twinge then it's very normal. I can't remember what my midwife said it was but basically it's nothing to worry about.
