Hi girls,
I'm 14 +4 pregnant with twins after a successful IVF (Yay!!). I had a u/s on Tuesday and my doctor told me my cervix was on the short side - 3.45cm and there was a beaking/funneling too, although not too wide, it's something between a "Y" and a "V" shape... I am a little scared and I don't know if there's anything I can do at this stage to prevent a further shortening and/or dilating. Please help!

I Googled and found this:

www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/antenatalhealth/scans/cervicallengthscanexpert/

From that I can't see how you can prevent it happening (other than reducing the chances of infection - now sure how?) and maybe taking it easy?

Have you been booked in for other scans? If not, maybe push for another one fairly soon? And your Consultant should consider a cervical stitch?
