Finnish baby boxes

Has anyone bought one of these boxes, based off the Finnish government issued boxes? I've seen a few online and they look like quite good value but I don't know if the quality of the goods is really decent and whether the box really works instead of a Moses basket.

Does anyone have any advice?

Are you Scottish? If so if baby is born in 2017, you'll get given one.

We bought one for DS from the Finnish Baby Box Co and thought it was great. The clothes are good quality and come in lots of different sizes, so you have something new to look forward to every couple of months or so. It's not as portable as a Moses basket, so we have the box in the living room and a side crib in the bedroom. It doesn't have everything you need so you'll still need to get extras but it's a good starting point. DS is almost too big for it now at 4.5 months, but that's because he's a giant and it should last until 6 months.

I didn't realise you could buy them. The Scottish Government are going to bring them in. I think it is next year. It's such a great idea.

Here's a pic of everything you get, plus one of DS about a month ago having a wee nap plus wearing one of the babygros. Forgot to mention that they tailor the contents for summer/ winter babies too.

I have family in Finland and they loved their baby boxes (most recent baby was born in 2015). Really good quality stuff.

Oops, I just double checked Orkney and Clackmannanshire will get from Jan 1st 2017, everywhere else Summer 2017. You might need to cross your legs...

Maybe I'll buy one instead...
