Am I being silly getting upset because he said we can't go out on a date?

I'm 30 weeks pregnant and the last 10 weeks has been filled with stress of finding out our unborn baby has serious heart defects, lots of scans, tests, trips to hospitals. We have also been moving house! Which is now complete, now my old landlord is pestering us to do this and do that (strip walls in the old house before she sends us a bill for it) but then not meeting us there or making up excuses we can't do it like they think the electric is dangerous and turned it all off. So I'm so stressed and need a little break. My partner comes home from work and chills out and has some wine and I just want to go out for a nice meal and to the pics so I asked him and he said no we can't afford it and too much needs doing in the house still. Now I'm really upset but I know I'm just a huge hormonal mess anyways

Sounds like something my DH would say as an excuse when he just can't be bothered. And I'd probably end up a blubbering mess too, given how I was while pregnant! So I can totally see why you're so upset. Can you maybe do it tomorrow or the weekend, when maybe he's not tired, and find something else to relax you tonight?

Aww I feel for you, you aren't having the best of times.
Phone a friend and go out for a nice meal and have a nice girly giggle!
leave him at home, he says anything about spending tell him it's only 1/2 the money it would've been if he'd came!

yeah I think he can't be bothered 😕 and even if I said let's do it Saturday he would say we can't afford it but we can

Tell him you'll buy a few less bottles of wine for him out the next shop to balance it out!

Men!!

And yes - sod him, call a girlfriend and go let your hair down. We're moving house and we're due yesterday and money is by no means flowing but we've still made the effort - got Showcase cinema cards so can get cheap tickets for just £6.50 each etc, used staff discount for food out and groupon, where there's a will, there's a way x

I'd go out with a girlfriend or go out on my own! Nothing wrong with going to see a film or something alone.

He's promised we can do go next weekend
