Sweep - did it work for you?

I'm having a sweep this morning, and I was just wondering how effective they've been for other people? I had one with my last pregnancy and went into labour within 24 hours but not sure if it was because of the sweep or just coincidence!

My friend (who is a midwife) offered to do one when I was overdue and fed up. She said she'd pop round in a couple of days if nothing had happened. The thought of someone I knew prodding about my fanjo was so terrifying that I went onto labour that evening! Good luck Op, I'm sure baby will be here soon!

Just had a show so fingers crossed that's a good sign things might start happening soon xxx
