3/5ths engaged & unfavourable cervix

Hi. I'm 40 + 3 on my first and was told today that baby is 3/5ths engaged and my cervix is unfavourable. I'm a bit upset over this as midwife said I'll need to be induced. I really don't want this. Anyone know if there is anything I can do? I'm scared enough without being induced. 😀

Why do you need to be induced?

A normal pregnancy is 37-42 weeks so as long as you're both well, you can wait a while longer.

There's nothing to "do" really. You can't start labour yourself so just do whatever makes you happy for the next week or so.

And a cervix can go from unfavourable to favourable in mere hours.
