It started with reddish/brown blood when i wiped after using the toilet this afternoon. Now it is a faint pink colour when i wipe. Feeling some mild cramps too.

Not looking good is it? Sad Will have to wait for the EPU to open on monday for advice on what to do.

Try and rest, plenty of fluids and try not to worry. Lots of women bleed in pregnancy and go on to have healthy babies x

SpaceDinosaur · 22/10/2016 16:44

Try not to worry. I had cramps and bleeding at about 7 weeks too. I'm now 31 weeks with that same pregnancy.

Sometimes it's a sign, sometimes it's not.

Look after yourself. Keep hydrated.

FWIW I booked an early scan to reassure myself and my DH. It cost £75 but was worth every penny.

miserablesod · 22/10/2016 17:10

Looked into an early scan and they can't fit me in until Tuesday so i might as well wait for the EPU. Sure my new job is going to be thrilled with me Sad

Really hard I know but I bled all the way through my pregnancy and all was fine. EPU first thing MondayBrewChocolate

SpaceDinosaur · 25/10/2016 11:08

How are you my lovely?

miserablesod · 25/10/2016 11:37

I had a scan at the EPU yesterday. Baby measured only 2.2mm and has a slow heart beat. Sad I also have a small subchorionic haematoma behind the placenta which has caused the bleeding. I have been told to expect the worse 😢

I'm so so sorry it's not the news you were hoping for.

Please be kind to yourself. Lots of tea and time. If you haven't got any already, perhaps get some "heavy" sanitary pads in. It will be ok xxxx

LHReturns · 25/10/2016 12:41

Oh miserablesod I am so sorry to hear that. That is incredibly sad and I wish you didn't have to face this.

May I ask if the SCH (at least it's positioning) is related to the poor growth of your baby, or if that is just a further unlucky complication?

I am so sorry. Have you had a chance to think about what now?

miserablesod · 25/10/2016 12:54

Thank you. The bleeding is still mostly spotting or a bit heavier than that at the moment but i have maternity pads in.

They didn't say anything about the haematoma causing poor growth, just that it was the reason for the bleeding.
The sonographer said the poor growth and slow heart beat leads her to believe the baby has a congentital abnormality.

This is just so hard to cope with, especially now i have seem the heart beat.

Thank you. Apart from the horrendous experience i had it doesn't seem real. Too scared to move incase another huge clot comes out 😢 Being sent for a scan at EPU later to make sure its all gone. With the amount of clots and blood i lost i hope it is🙁

All the best for your pregnancies
