Mucus plug?

Sorry, tmi and not a nice topic I know but I've just noticed a big ball of clear mucus. Looked very similar to normal ewcm but maybe a bit thicker. Was not blood tinged or anything.
I'm just wondering if that could be the plug? I'm 35 weeks pregnant.

The mucus plug is a bit solid usually, and you can get a lot of increased discharge when pregnant. It might be your plug, it might just be discharge. The plug can also fall out and repair itself from time to time, it doesn't necessarily mean you're imminently about to go into labour.

If you're at all worried, call the day assessment unit and go in to get checked out. They're always happy for women to err on the side of caution.
