Can anyone shed any light on this condition a very dear friend has just been told her unborn baby has it and she can't really find anyone else who has experience. Any insight would be much appreciated.

It where a part of the baby gets something caught in a fibrous band of the amniotic sack. The consequences depend very much on what has been trapped. Usually restricted blood flow either deforms or in several cases causes limbs etc to be 'cut off' sort of like putting an elastic band around an area. Without knowing where the band is it has many potential outcomes
