7 weeks pregnant and slight period???

I'm 7 weeks pregnant - having a slight period - is this normal?? Not heavy or painful just annoying. I've taken another test since this started and still positive. Have booked in for an early scan next week....
Slight crampy feeling and knackered...I'm also 46!!

Not normal per se but vaginal bleeding is pretty common. Having said that I would advise you to ring your EPU and get them to scan you.

Don't wait until next week. Get to EPAU tomorrow.
I don't want to be doom and gloom but I got some brown discharge at 6 weeks and thought that was normal / common. Still had positive pregnancy test. Went to EPAU, no sac, no baby, I had miscarried. My HCG levels were still high enough for positive pregnancy test.

Hi there, I phoned the midwife unit and she said if I'm not in loads of pain and bleeding heavily then fingers crossed. I have to wait and see when I have my early scan on Thursday - I'll be 7+3 then -
They won't be able to see anything now so guess it's a waiting game.
I'm still bleeding very lightly now and again, still feel sick as a pig....

Don't want to alarm but I had no pain whatsoever at 7ish weeks but bleeding. Ended up having emergency surgery for an ectopic pregnancy and lost a tube as a result.

Wanted to offer a little reassurance.
I'm only 6/7 weeks pregnant I've had brown spotting & bleeding I have a SCH but the baby is fine, I had a scan at 6 weeks and we have seen the heart beat.
I'm being scanned again next week to check everything is still ok as I'm still
Bleeding.
I had an early scan though, they can scan you earlier but it's an internal scan as I also had one at 5 weeks.
I wanted to wish you lots of luck I hope it goes well and you have a positive outcome.
Bleeding doesn't always mean miscarriage.

What does SCH mean?

Subchorionic haemorrhage is SCH...

I had one at 7.5 weeks with my first pregnancy (DS now 2.5). I bled badly for a few hours (bright red) which quickly turned to dark red/brown spotting which went on for weeks and weeks - was awful. But scans showed the SCH nowhere near the baby and it did stop eventually.

If it were to happen again with my current pregnancy I would be much more relaxed knowing what I do now. But we are all just anecdotes - not proof of anything.

The bleeding stops every now and again and it very light, dreading the scan on Thursday.

I have my fingers crossed for you 😊 I'm getting re scanned Wednesday hopefully I can offer some re assurance to you then.
