Attending prenatal classes

My husband had been particular about attending the prenatal classes. This is our first pregnancy and he is all excited ( I am excited too, but he is taking it to a different level). So he heard from his friends about the prenatal education classes and wants me to attend. I don't think I need any class on how to be a mother, but he is adamant.
What do you all think? Have any of you attended these said classes? Are they any good?

Are you asking specifically about these classes, held in Canada? If so you might get more responses if you ask for Canadians in the title.

In the uk, I'd say most women go to prenatal classes (they're provided free on the NHS, plus various other organisations do longer/more detailed ones).

It's not really about teaching you to be a mother - they usually provide information on childbirth options, advice on healing after childbirth, breastfeeding, common baby health issues and how to deal with them, they may show you how to do practical things like burp a baby or change a nappy. Usually a good way to meet other pregnant women in your area.

Overall I think they're useful.
