Anyone on Fragmin? Red spot at injection site

I have been doing Fragmin injections for a couple of weeks now due to previous PE. I'm 11 weeks. I had Clexane at the time of the PE but this is my first time with Fragmin. I was about to do my injection when I noticed that where I injected last night there is a small dark red spot. In the hospital leaflet I was given it says 'Important - Tell a nurse or doctor if you notice... Red spots under the skin which do not go away when you put pressure on them.' This doesn't go away under pressure. What I'm not clear about how serious this is. My plan at the moment is to skip just the dose tonight and phone antenatal haemolotogy at the hospital first thing tomorrow for advice.

Has anyone on Fragmin had this and had an explanation of what it is?

I'm on fragmin for same reason. Dvt in leg went to lung and collapsed it 10yrs ago

Got put on it at 12w now almost 17w

I think (tho could be wrong) you have hit a blood vessel under the skin

I usually bruise badly. Top of legs look like I've been beaten up

Call mw or gp or doc who put you on fragmin and see what they say

Thank you Blondeshavemorefun. I spoke to the specialist haematology midwife and she wasn't worried as long as I'm not getting lots of these spots, itchiness, a rash, or full on bleeding or unexplained bruising. Managed my injection last night and no marks have appeared so far.
