A bit of Tuesday fun - hormones make you crazy, what's the weirdest thing you've found yourself crying at?!

After catching myself getting all choked up and crying at the fact that I saw someone being hugged (they were possibly crying too) on my way to lunch and last week at the fact that all the cars in a traffic jam moved out of the way for an ambulance...I ask you ladies, what are the most bizarre things you've found yourself crying over?

Hormones are a crazy thing and I'm crying at the slightest things now - oh the joys of pregnancy

38+6 today.

Sat crying at teen mom coz I'm jealous she just had her baby and I'm a big fat potato who can't bend properly or sleep

My husband farting.

Not in this pregnancy but the last one. He farted so bad, the smell, oh my god, I sobbed! And sobbed and sobbed. Made worse by the look on his face, I could tell he thought I was a weirdo and that made me even more upset!

I walked past a young woman in the street and cried because she is still young and slim and has her whole life ahead of her. I don't know whether I was happy for her or sad for me but I sobbed for about 20 minutes

Anyone remember shadrag on emmerdale?

When he died we were all finishing off a chicken dinner at PIL's house. MIL sobbed for an hour in earnest into her gravy until FIL politely suggested she might like a hot bath and he'd bring her a cup of tea .

Even now when I have a hormonal moment, DP always says "Bloody hell, has Shadrag died again?" which never fails to make me snort laugh

Okay this is really terrible and I've NC'd for this!

I had an argument with DH durin my first pregnancy because he was hoovering the house but he wasn't doing it right. He was hoovering before tidying. I'd told him this is the incorrect way round many, many times. I somehow got so hysterical he shouted back at me a bit, and for some reason I felt threatened and called the police. My DH is one of the most gentle souls I can think of and would never hurt me, to this day I still don't know how the situation escalated to the the point of me calling the police.

After a few seconds of being on the phone to the emergency operator I realised how stupid I was being, and said, don't worry actually, I was just being silly, nevermind, etc. But of course they still have to send someone round in these situations in case you're in danger. So the police blue-lighted it to our house and I then had to convince them that I genuinely was fine and that it was just my pregnancy hormones. The male police officer took DH into the kitchen for a chat and the female one spoke to me in the living room while I sat sheepishly clutching a teddy bear like a deranged child. Luckily the female police officer seemed to understand. God it was so embarrassing. The information was also passed on to the health visitor so I had to explain the whole thing to her too. I got a few extra visits from her as I think she was a bit worried about my mental stability but luckily after giving birth I was absolutely fine and didn't suffer from any depression, anxiety etc. It must've just been the crazy pregnancy hormones!

When a parcel wasn't delivered correctly and I'd have to drive to the depot to collect it. I rang to complain and ended up sobbing down the phone to the depot manager who got the delivery driver to come back that evening

Watched Toy Atory whilst pregnant with DD1 and cried because my childhood rabbit teddy was in the loft. Was so hysterical that's she would think I had abandoned her that I made DH go up and get her out for me.

She now lives in DD's room

My daughter joining in with the warm up of her ballet lesson. 6th lesson - never had cried or got emotional before and it wasn't something she hadn't done before or I wasn't expecting.

I cried because there wasn't a clean bowl in work for me to heat up my tinned spaghetti!!

Loooooong time ago (DS is 11 soon)....

I only like toast that's been vaguely waved at the grill. Went to the butty shop near work & asked for two lightly done toast. First pass through the rotating toaster thing and toast comes out perfect. I told the woman behind the counter that was great thanks.

She stuffs it back through, ignoring me totally, saying 'that's not proper toast. I know what toast should look like'. It came out again v dark brown & smelling like burned bread (smell makes me feel sick at the best of times).

I told her I couldn't eat it like that & she started getting huffy about how it was perfect, that's how she has her toast, toast should be dark brown like that. So I burst into tears. Embarrassing, snotty tears.

The manager was horrified, came over and sat me down, made me fresh (perfect) toast on the house. All the while I was apologising for making a fuss and not wanting to get the woman into trouble.

Pregnant and couldn't reach the top shelf of the cupboard to put a glass away. I literally sat on the kitchen floor and sobbed!

Made dinner for myself and DP, something with gravy. Went to scrape the left overs into one of those biodegradable food bags for the recycling and noticed a hole in the bottom. Told myself there was a hole but continued to scrape the gravy into the bag which obviously then went all over the floor. Cried my eyes out over spilt gravy!

Brushed out my very curly hair before I hopped in the shower to wash it, sobbed in a heap on the bathroom floor when a knot snagged and it hurt

Many moons ago now...

I read Pat Conroy's "Beach Music" during pregnancy with dc1. In the story there is a dog called chippy, who dies.

The thing is, the story is that the bloke has lost his wife and is bringing up his child alone and he talks about the great dog chippy as the hero of a story about his wife. Then the grandmother says the dog was just a dog, nothing special. But when he tells the story of the great dog chippy and how he tied to save his mistress - something which didnt even happpen - I sobbed like a baby.

My DH still laughs about the great dog chippy. 20 years later.

I cried this evening about the prospect of a jacket potato with beans and cheese. I'm 10 weeks and famished constantly.

We were out shopping for tiles and I was hungry and tired. Suddenly occurred to me we'd be able to stop at the kebab shop on the way home and sobbed because I'd be eating soon. But also because I wasn't going to be eating it immediately.

It was nice!

Most of the time I want to cry because I'm so bloody exhausted and I can't sleep when I have to be at stupid work.

And also because I'm so happy to be pregnant. It's very confusing.

An old man buying pick and mix at a market stall by himself. Flat cap, cane, tweed suit, limpy dog, the lot. I bawled my eyes out. Dh had to guide me gently back to the car and place me inside. I don't think I got over it for about 3 hours.

When I was relatively early into my pregnancy, we were constantly checking the size of the baby. It had just gotten to raspberry stage. My husband, trying to be sweet brought in a raspberry from the kitchen to show me - I didn't realise so when he handed it to me I was a little heavy handed & squashed it.

My god I was a mess - kept blabbering on about how I'd ruined the metaphor and that meant I'd be a terrible mother, or what if I turned over in the night and squashed the baby ( yes, really ). It went on for about an hour.

I cried when DH came home from Tescos empty handed after I sent him out for strawberry nesquick. Sobbed and sobbed and sobbed, then got on Ocado and did an entire unneeded grocery shop to come the next day, just for the 500g tin of strawberry nesquick (which I had about 4 glasses of until my craving subsided and then the rest went in the bin when we moved months later ).

Currently sobbing like an uncontrollable sponge whenever I hear the new James Arthur song. My DP decided it would be a good idea to watch the video together last night - I think he soon regretted it when he had a snotty mess on his chest!

Ha ha, I'm absolutely loving reading this post!
I cried over my grandparents giving us money towards a cot bed for our little one, thought it was so sweet I burst into tears in the middle of a cafe which was a bit embarrassing!
I cry every time Ellie Goldings new song comes on the radio as it reminds me of the end of Bridget Jones's Baby and I picture in my head and I just turn into a total mess!
Also cried once because I really wanted a pot noodle I was thinking about all day but when I got home my fiancee had eaten it!

In July it was my husbands and I's 3rd wedding anniversary so we were away in a hotel. I asked the barman for a mocktail and he said he didn't make them - "only cocktails" so I burst in tears and ordered a water!

These stories have been interesting ! I once cried for an hour while watching Harry Potter because Dobby died. DH was so confused , especially when I got up and made myself a grilled cheese sandwich .All while sobbing.
