It's all too much!

Due in 28 days so not getting any sleep- between waking up for a wee and cramp in my legs I wake every two hours. I am supposed to still be at work until Friday but now my husband has been diagnosed with glandular fever and my 2 year old has been sent home from nursery with chicken pox. I could cry.
Anyone else going through a tough 3rd trimester?

Oh shadowboy that sounds awful - what unfortunate timing. I'm with you on the lack of sleep - 2hrs at a time is my average too - but it's going to be really hard for you with a poorly husband and child too.

Really sorry you're going through this at such a late stage of pregnancy. The good news is that we're a resilient bunch and you'll be able to take this on (I have so much respect for women who are pregnant with young children already as I don't know how I'd cope with a busy toddler right now) so try and see the positive - you've done great so far, and you will continue to do so. Sending strength and positive vibes your way

You poor thing! Have you tried taking magnesium to help with the cramps?

My mum mentioned magnesium - I haven't been but certainly going to look into it now!
My daughter keeps telling me she has 'beans' in her mouth- I think the chicken pox must be in there too.

Have sent my husband to sleep in the spare room too as the glandular fever has made him snore so so loudly!

The best thing for the toddler is calpol and piriton. Never nurophen. Hope that helps.

Tonic water really helped my cramps. Have it at lunch time though as the heartburn is badddddd if you have it before bed.

I'm 38 weeks and feel your pain. No poorly husband but a 2.5year old that cracked his head open and a trip to a&e for stitches that I could have done without. And we get keys to the new house on Friday so trying to pack too.
Not much longer to go, I hope your DH and Dd feel better soon!

Oooh I feel your pain - 38 weeks here and the leg cramps are so painful and were getting me up every couple of hours too - my consultant told me to eat bananas and brazil nuts with a glass of milk. Magnesium/Potassium and calcium apparently - that and to stretch/warm up your leg muscles before you get into bed.

I went on maternity leave and was looking forward to a)sorting the house out and b) getting some rest but immediately DS has had two bouts of conjunctivitis and therefore out of nursery. I was told yesterday at pick up that hand, foot and mouth is now doing the rounds. Brilliant. I am being induced next Monday and am knackered before I start!
