Confused about Conception Date

Hi all,

I'm pregnant and according to my last scan I due at the beginning of march. I'm happy and it is going to be a little girl.
I was Single when I fell pregnant and used always protections but my obstetrician keeps confusing me. I slept with two guys in total in the past year and now this :(

I had a guy on the 14th of May (used condom as protection) and
on the 9th of June (also used condom as protection) both times I was sure nothing happened.
Because of medical history I don't know when I had my last period, just had a little bleeding for two/three days which is normal for me end of May. But not sure about the date :(.

I got dated for due between 27th February and 04 March 17, now set to the 02.03 last scan last week. which makes me 20 weeks and 4 days today.
The obstetricians said it could only be the guy from June as otherwise I would be 3 1/2 weeks further which doesn't fit.
I'm still worrying as I don't want to make one feel he is going to be a Dad when he is not.

Can anyone of you help me out here.
I never thought being in that kind of position.
I'm 31 and will take care about my little girl but just want some reinsurance.

I'm not sure if this helps or if you can work it out but when I went to the hospital I saw a small wheel which works out your due date and saw that conception is 2 weeks after your last missed period.

Not sure what to advise on the men - maybe just be honest and say to each of them you are pregnant and until you are able to tell with DNA then they might be a father?

I had a baby in March this year (due date 3.3.16) and I know I conceived mid June as was tracking my cycles etc.

However, as pp has said, only a paternity test can really tell you for sure.

It's definately the June one. The 8th of June is 38 weeks until 3rd March... pregnancy is dated from your previous period which is 2 weeks before ovulation. Your drs know what they are talking about! Good luck!

(Or that's how they date it I should say, with ovulation 2 weeks after period)

I don't think anyone on mumsnet will be able to reassure you more than your Dr who knows the situation and dates and has the medical expertise to make the correct judgment. The only way you'll know 100% is a paternity test.

Not sure how to handle it with the men. I'd probably tell the June one the Dr says it is his by dates and ask him for a paternity test when the baby is here. I'd say that's the fairest option.

thanks for all your replies. I keep counting back and forward and I have been using these wheel or better my obstetrician has, but according to not knowing when I had my last period she calculated back from my expected due date and said it would have conceived between 5th and the 12th of June which would be great though.

Due health issues I had more scans than normal the 02.03. confirmed twice. I asked how she knew and she said because of the measurement of baby's head and femur.

We will definitely do a paternity test as I was sure it could be only the guy from June but now I get confused and not sure to tell the guy there might be another one when its practically impossible.

It's very clever how they can tell - maybe ask more questions when you go to doctors appointments?
I always had periods that were irregular and when I went for a scan that's how they were able to tell me how far I was because of the size! clever stuff ;-)

Louise, yeah you are right I will asked again with my next appointment.

The scanning nurse said it's definitely according to baby's size now and not my last period.
So much worrying about nothing probably.

Hahaha I am always worrying!! I will ask 100 questions if I needed to. I find its better to ask than to use google search!

Absolutely true. Going to see my Dr. on Friday and will asked everything again just in case :)
