Hi
I'm 9 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I have suffered two mmc in the last year.
I'm getting so fed up and feeling low due to the symptoms, which seem never ending.
I initially had bad morning sickness but got medication to help with that. I'm absolutely exhausted to the point that I have found it hard to even have a shower in the last few days. The worst symptom now is this extreme hunger!! night and day. Every hour I have to eat something substantial or else I feel nauseous. This seemed to peak at week 9.
I've gone off most food so have to force myself to eat, I'm so sick of eating. I'm feeling ungrateful for feeling like this as I am glad to be pregnant but feeling very detached from the pregnancy due to how unwell I'm feeling.

please tell me this ends soon? feeling very desperate!

The majority of those grim symptoms stopped with me about 16 weeks. I'm 25 weeks now and still have sickness and nausea but medication has it manageable. The tiredness and feeling like eating all the time will pass. And then probably come back but nowhere near so far as much as first trimester. Hang in there!!

I'm 14 weeks and just lost my lovely breakfast sandwich! My sister in law had her sickness stop at 12 weeks and my sister at 16 weeks so who knows! I pretty much feel rubbish most of the time and haven't felt myself since about 5 weeks. Yucky taste in my mouth, crazy sensitive nose, and have the same thing with feeling hungry. It makes me feel ten times worse so constantly snacking! Wish you every luck with this pregnancy! We've already had a scary time with a CVS and while instal results were clear still waiting for the full results.

Thank you for getting back ladies. Good to hear that the symptoms eventually stop. Second trimester couldn't come sooner for me. Pregnancy for me is very different to what I had imagined.

SarahMOS like you I have not felt myself since week 5. Good luck with the full results of the CVS.

Hi hope, it will very likely get better. But for now you just have to get through it as best you can. I was eating at least 10 slices of bread a day and very little else in the first trimester.

melibu84 · 16/10/2016 15:15

It really does get better. I was constantly nauseous, tired and starving until about 16 weeks. Literally, I ate everything in sight. I was having 6-8 meals a day. I don't know how my work colleagues didn't realise something was up lol

BikeRunSki · 16/10/2016 15:17

I had hyperemisis until 15 weeks or so. Then I felt better, all the grim sickness, exhaustion etc just went. Both of were identical in this respect. It does get better.

helenatroy · 16/10/2016 15:20

It was horrible for me up till ten or eleven weeks and then it changed. It has been lovely ever since.

happylass · 16/10/2016 17:06

I definitely felt like a different person in the second trimester. Start to gradually feel more human from 15 weeks until was completely 'normal' by 20 weeks.

Ebbenmeowgi · 16/10/2016 17:15

I felt rubbish first trimester then absolutely amazing second, I had loads of energy it was wonderful! Now in third and feel good but v tired again and addicted to Gaviscon. It'll all be worth it in the end though Smile

Thank you for all your replies. I can't wait to feel better and feel like myself again.

It does get better, I promise! My nausea went away at 11 weeks and the feeling so tired I wanted to curl up and die lessened at about 18 weeks. Hang on in there! Flowers

Hi op

I won't tell you how my last pregnancy went as it will depress you but just wanted to say, there is a hyperemisis thread here somewhere which is really good for support.
I can also recommend the charity Pregnancy Sickness Support, they offer a lot of help and tips. Including getting you know contact with a peer councillor in your local area who can help you a lot.

Good luck and hope your second trimester sorts you out.

hopedust · 17/10/2016 15:32

Thank you.
I will look into the charity pregnancy sickness support. luckily I feel as though the nausea has lessened since yesterday. fingers cross all the other symptoms slowly go away too.
