Confused about tests!

So, on Wednesday (11dpo) I took a frer and got a really faint line, took the same line the next day and it was a little bit darker but I still wasn't convinced. So yesterday (13dpo) I took a digital blue response and that came up with Pregnant 1-2 weeks.

For some reason this morning I thought I would torture myself thay bit more and tried an IC for the first time, it's supposed to detect hcg at 25 and above but was a very clear BFN.

I'm so confused by it all, I'd have expected the line to be quite clear by now. AF is due today and I have none of my usual symptoms.

Has anyone experienced the same? I'm such a worrier and could do with some reassurance.

I pretty much did the same as you and tested before my period came. It was quite exhausting. 'Wait to Wee' (as one of the big companies suggest) is the best thing you can do. Get that missed period and then use Clearblue or a digital one rather than the line one, so much can be read into the lines. I was so confused about them that in our next months of trying I waited for my missed period first.

I too had faint lines at first, it's because you are in the very early stages of pregnancy and HTc is not so strong. I read online that a line, providing it is pink or blue is still a line. If you've had a faint line and pregnant reading on digital you probably are. Not sure about the other test you did? Was it the first wee of the morning? Do you drink water during the night?

It's supposed to be quite rare to get a false positive, if you've taken three tests and had positive with 2 I'd say you were pregnant? X

I don't know what an IC is, but if you've had a line on a first response and a digital then you are pregnant. Congratulations!

I have had this too just this week, had had 1-2 weeks on cb digital and clear but faint positives on superdrug early tests, and a super faint positive on a sainsburys test but was still getting clear negatives on ICs. I'm now around 4+4 and even though I had a blood test showing my hcg level was 191 two days ago I was still getting faint lines on the ICs, I say trust the branded tests and congratulations

My ic gave a feint line when my blood hgc was 670. Ignore them and trust the digital. Congratulations.

Thanks everyone, it's so reassuring to hear I'm not the only one. Just going to try and relax and then make a doctors appointment for next week.

Is IC internet cheapie? I got negatives on those when first response and Clearblue digital were giving positives. They're rubbish!

Yeah they gave me negatives. I just did a frer, expecting to see a darker line but it's still really faint.

This used to do my head in when i was ttc and pg.

I got a faint bfp on IC which consistently got darker day by day, but BFN on first response and clear blue digital.
Had to have a very early scan and found out I was having twins.
I was worried about vanishing twin syndrome so kept testing not of paranoia but didn't get a BFP on digital until about 8 weeks pregnant.. and with twins so you'd think the extra hormone levels would have given it a helping hand.

Many practices do not arrange GP appointments for the newly pregnant (unless you have additional health needs) and will refer you to MWs or provide instructions on how to self-refer. When you get your first MW appointment varies depending on where you live. But you can usually self-refer to an Early Pregnancy Unit (often in larger hospitals) if you have worries.
