Anyone else struggling with sickness bad? I am 8+4 and had it since 6 weeks struggling to keep anything down even water.... my back is hurting cause not drinking enough and my urine is very dark please tell me this gets easier? X

See your gp ASAP. There are med that are safe and will help, it's important you stay hydrated.

I spoke to my midwife the other day she said just to drink lucozade sport but didn't seem to concerned.... i didn't have it so bad with my first pregnancy I can keep some stuff down then about 20-30 mins later I need to be sick x

It can get better after the twelve week mark but you don't just have to accept this is how you feel. You can take steps to help feel better. Visit the pregnancy sickness support website for some advice and See your GP to make sure they help. Cyclizine really helped me.

Please get help. You sound severely dehydrated.

This isn't 'normal' pregnancy sickness, you don't have to put up with it.

I don't really have the most supportive gp and when I asked about medication to help with sickness they said they wouldn't prescribe them to me as they don't know for definite if they can cause any risks so I feel like I am getting nowhere I am being sick about 6 times aday but I need to make myself be sick most of the time as struggle to bring it up myself x

Ok so I think you need to see another gp, or go to your maternity unit of they won't help as the unit will have a doctor who can help you there.
Look up HG and severe nausea and vomiting in pregnancy as that's what it sounds like you're suffering from.

Pregnancy Sickness Support offers peer support so try and get this as they'll try and match you with someone close by who could maybe recommend a different GP.

In the meantime try to stay hydrated. I found ice lollies helped hugely as well as jelly and watermelon.

Don't take no for an answer and take someone with you to fight your corner if you haven't got the energy.

I'd have a look at the NICE guidelines. Cyclizine is safe in pregnancy, your GP is wrong. Please call pregnancy sickness support- they give great advice.

Honestly, in your position with an unsupportive GP, I'd call 111 tonight. You really do sound in a bad way. Being dehydrated and ketotic is really dangerous. I actually don't think you'd be unreasnoble to go to A&E (lots of women with HG do).

Thank you :) I've been eating ice cubes and ice poles etc I've managed to drink a bottle of water so far with no puking never felt like this with my son I had bad travel sickness but not like this would I be allowed to take the Powder sachets to help hydrate me? X

You mean dioralyte? My GP said they were fine. I used them a fair bit in the first trimester and still occasionally now.

Yeh I think that's what they are? Wasn't sure if was allowed is it worth giving a go? X
