Hi All,

I'm due in April 2017, I have my dating scan on Wednesday coming but oh how I'm lonely! :( don't have any pregnant friends so of course can't ask any advice! I talk to the baby to keep me company! As sad as it sounds Hmm

I'm 8 weeks so mine is due in May. I also feel very lonely in this and completely unprepared

Oh I do feel so sad for you, I don't have any friends with babies but my sister has a three month old and she's a paediatric nurse so I talk to her about everything! My pregnancy sickness and weird stuff is very different to hers but nice to talk to her as my lovely husband doesn't quite get it. As far as I'm concerned this first trimester is a motherf*er hehe. Sometimes I forget I'm pregnant as so consumed by the smells, the sickness and the fatigue. It's nice when I remember though!

Once you have baby you'll never be lonely Smile

I felt like this too, all my friends were off on nights out while I was being sick 24/7. But he's two this month and he's my best friend! You can message me if you like (I'm on MS a lot) X

I have a 4 & a half week old. Pregnancy isn't great but it's doable. There's nothing wrong with talking to the baby, it's great for bonding!! Hopefully once things are further along you'll be able to join antenatal clubs and get to know people going through the same experiences as you.
Good luck with your pregnancy!!

There's an April ante natal thread on here with lots of activity, are you on that?

Maybe look into nct, birthing classes or pregnancy yoga for a bit further down the line. You could ask your midwife for local things.

Thank you so much for the support all!
Myself & the baby's dad have split, he's not hugely fussed about being involved which I deem a positive thing! He's selfish & quite childish so I'd rather not have another child to look after.
I feel like I hold my breath between scans, praying my baby is safe in there

Hey,
I feel exactly the same way..I'm due late December, I'm going solo too and I have no pregnant friends or any friends who have been through it before! Tried antenatal classes but found it quite difficult being younger than the other women (I'm 24 but look a lot younger which doesn't help) and didn't feel confident enough to talk to other people.
I just tell myself to enjoy the time alone as when the baby comes it'll be a whole different ball game.
If you need someone to talk to who is also going through pregnancy on their own, you're welcome to PM me Smile

Join the April group! Loads of people to chat to on thereGrin

I've felt the same. I gave up work early (as I worked in a school) and have felt very alone. If my husband is out in the evenings (at least once a week) I can easily go the whole day without speaking to anyone.

Chaseley · 06/10/2016 18:03

I've now joined the April group, thanks for the suggestion :)
During the day whilst at work I'm busy so I don't think about it but as soon as I get home, I don't know what to do with myself

Have a look on the NCT website. There may well be a local group where you can go with your bump or baby to make friends. Also they offer courses too (though these can be expensive-ish). Congratulations Smile
