Boosting energy levels in pregnancy

Hi all,

I'm currently 15 weeks pregnant and completely exhausted. I have two other dc and a full time job, where I work some evenings, so this isn't completely surprising. But on my nights off I literally can't stay awake, and I'm always so tired when I wake up in the morning.

I was wondering if everyone had any tips for boosting energy levels? Anything natural I could try, best foods to eat etc?

Many thanks.

Jusr wanted to say I feel for you, I'm in the same boat. 16 weeks today and can barely get out of bed, even after 9 hours sleep. I'm seeimg my GP tomorrow for back pain, I'm going to ask his thoughts on this too...

Marking place in case of any tips. I'm 24 weeks and still exhausted. My eyes sting and I drop off to sleep any time I can.

Obv make sure you are drinking plenty of water, eating regularly and taking your vits & iron, and getting early nights but beyond that I think it's just hard work!

If your eyes sting try and use some moisturising eye drops. I use these for dry eyes but also help when I have stinging eyes and help me wake up in the morning too! 12 weeks pregnant and have been the most unsociable I have ever been in my life! Off to bed soon...hehe

Thanks for replying... It is really hard. Feeling guilty about my lack of energy for my boys too... Hoping it will get better soon...

Definitely don't drink enough water, need to sort that out. Eye drops a good idea, thank you.

Water worked for me. I'm making fire I drink 2 litres a day and have definitely seen a massive improvement. It's also really helped stabilise my blood pressure as it was beginning to drop quite low x
