DS is 13 weeks and I have just found out I'm pregnant but I have no idea how far gone as my periods didn't settle or anything. I'm so nervous and scared now as I also have a DSS who at the moment is being an absolute terror and raising his hands to hit me but only does it when DP isn't around and he's stuck in the middle as he doesn't listen to him. Not sure what I'm asking for really, just needed to say something to someone!!

Hand hold as I think I may be pregnant and I have a young baby too.

This happened to me. I was petrified. I was also wracked with guilt towards the end of the pregnancy for not letting my 'baby' have time to be a baby. But y'know what. It was and is fine. It's bloody hard work logistically at first, take any offer of help you can.

Your DS will still be young enough to be in a double buggy etc which is a godsend.
You'll find yourself wondering why he has a thing on intermittently, then realising you've put a newborn nappy on him

I also found it forced me to modify my behaviour towards DS1 as you just can put up with the shenanigans you can with only one.
They are incredibly close now.

It's not for everyone, it's a very, very individual choice and I would never judge anyone fit not making the decisions I have.

Thanks for the replies, we're over the moon as we did want more but this is just a bit earlier then expected but a happy surprise
Not to sure how DSS will take it though cause he already told me that he didn't want me and DP to have any more children (he's 5) but I've already told DP and DSS's mum that I won't be having him on my own anymore until his behaviour towards me improves. DP completely understands and says he doesn't blame me but his mum is trying to talk me out of it (cause it means she won't have a sitter for him on demand )
But he nearly caused me to have a breakdown when DS was a few weeks old with his behaviour and hitting me.

It sounds tough what you must not do is make him feel that this 'exclusion' from you coincides with the baby. He's obviously a very mixed up little fellow who needs support-from his Dad, this can't all be down to you. DD2 wasn't too impressed with the idea of DC3, we did lots of 'your baby' oh you'll be able to teach 'your new baby' etc.
